Just finished. I didn't do every side target, I'll mop up when the DLC comes out. I still spent 80 hours with it. Now I know what everyone was talking about with the ending. It was so abrupt! It felt really unfinished even after doing the epilogue. That epilogue scene could have just been attached to the ending because I did feel a bit ripped off the moment the credits rolled.

As for the game, that was awesome. Up there with my top AC games but I think Origins still might pip it for me due to the setting and the mythology. Shadows felt really grounded but IMO AC games need to have that mythology. Outside of that one yokai and Kojiro appearing for one quest I don't think there was any supernatural stuff whatsoever. Either more stuff around the animus as to why we've travelled to these characters during this time or some Isu stuff, or something. There probably needed to be a bit more variety with the side content as it was pretty much just 100+ assassination targets and most of the time the game never gave you enough context as to why you were hunting them. I think the game does a great job wowing you early with the visuals, setting, story and the slight improvements from the previous games but then it's capable to really bog you down and there is no way to speed it up as even the main targets/missions are more of the same until you get into Act 3 which seems to get back on track. Both Yasuke and Naoe were really cool and I look forward to the rest of Naoe's story when the DLCs come. It sounds like we're going to get some east-west connection back to Ezio with her story as his time in Italy a few hundred years early was talked about during one of the cut scenes.

If you're patient and wait another few months it'll go to half off, Ubi are pretty good with that.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that with Ubi. I reckon I might just get it now though, quite a few games coming out over the next 2-3 months that would be occupying my gaming time.

Been playing for an hour. I love the auto-gallop and auto-follow feature. More games developers should implement it. The lazy man’s experience lol.
It's actually required in this, traversing across the map without it is way more trouble than it's worth!

Finished the game just earlier today. IMO, I ended up finding the Yasuke and Naoe quests to be more interesting than the main story as it added a lot of backstory to both of them as characters. Still an interesting main questline but I do hope Ubisoft goes the DLC route to continue the journey and not an actual sequel. I think I’ve played all that I want to with these characters. Decent enough AC game, but I’ve played better in the series, especially Origins and Odyssey as the recent games.

Also, holy ****ing shit! Those end credits, LOL! Over two hours long. I guess when there are about 38 Ubisoft studios working on the same game, the end credits are going to be as long as a movie because everyone in the entire company needs to be thanked for their efforts. 😂

How on earth do you beat these games in a week!?

RPCB's playstyle is bee-lining the main story, then go back and do the rest. Complete opposite to me (and dwwaino), where completing the story is the last thing I do.

I think he's crazy! Doing side content as you go along adds so much to the main story in any game.

Even still, HLTB has just the main story at ~34 hours! That's some serious gaming dedication.

It didn't come across as shaming to me either, maybe a gentle ribbing at most.

Anywaaay, how long did it take? Does 34 hours seem accurate for beelining the main quest?
Roughly about right, now just tooling around beating up ronin and trying to find tea cups! Playing as the big lug is just painful prefer to kunai the sh*t out of everyone.
