Grab Dean Cox from the swans
where did you hear that?Boyds leaving too apparently, Fremantle.
You’d have to make him more than a ruck coach as he’s an assistant coach at The Swans.Grab Dean Cox from the swans

It’s ruthless I agree but all clubs will have to make these decisions unfortunately.
I’d imagine there are more changes to come.Nonsense.
They could get rid of a couple of data analysts. No other side has more than three. Collingwood has 5.
They could get rid of the strength and conditioning staff, since the players all resemble 90lb weaklings anyway.
Do they really need Maxwell and Wagner and Collins as well as Walsh and his assistant?
Do they need three people engaged in player engagement?
8 coaches in VFL and academy?
4 Physios (barf) and an Osteopath, of all things.
Oh, and they could also get rid of the head coach, who soaks up $900,000 per year and who can't coach.
Rocca was cut and came back last year on a part time basis. Grundy speaks highly of him, so it’s somewhat of a surprise, but not a huge one. This covid junk has ****ed more than a few people.I'm now hearing Rocca has been cut.
All those that were stood down, taking the easy way out.
Possibly jmac - who knows the truth in these days - covid is an easy excuse if one wants oneWasn't he stood down due to covid cuts?
I remember reading an article about him working on a farm.Possibly jmac - who knows the truth in these days - covid is an easy excuse if one wants one
Didn't see it but not surprisedI remember reading an article about him working on a farm.
Yep, including as VFL runner on various occasions.Trav works at the club?
He's not the issue though, only costs a five dollar note a week & he's happy.Yep, including as VFL runner on various occasions.

Hopefully we’re electing to keep the right people, but from the outside I really wouldn’t know.

I agree VP.Hocking was stood down when the footy season was put on hold. I was under the impression that being 'stood down' was subject to review once the outcome of the season was known, including funding for clubs. Hocking has been working on a farm but also (according to a press article) watching Pies games and providing feedback to the club and coaches. Now he's officially been cut from the club, and I think he's a loss.
Not that you can judge his coaching from it, but Rocca was better than ok as a second ruck around 2002. Witts, Grundy and Cox have all developed as rucks under Rocca's appointment albeit both Witts and Grundy have some flaws with their tap placement. Again not sure how much one can judge from it though.I understand that you don’t need to be a great player to be a great coach. That said, it still baffles me why Rocca was appointed as the “ruck coach”.

This doesn't surprise me at all. They could get rid of a couple of data analysts. No other side has more than three. Collingwood has 5.
goes with the long-winded "explanations" of everythingThis doesn't surprise me at all.
Bucks is obsessed with stats.
He judges everything purely on stats. If a player has decent stats then he has had a decent game according to Bucks, even though blind Freddy could see watching the game that that player had a shocker.
His post game press conferences are basically a statistical breakdown of the game. Stats should be a tool, you shouldn't base your whole coaching around them.
This hurts to read. Would love to know the rationale behind not keeping Hocking.Daicos also credits the personal tuition of former Geelong great Garry Hocking, the Mapgies’ midfield coach until he was swept away in the pandemic purge this week. Daicos will miss him.
