You think it's a coincidence his media appearances have become much more regular since he came back to the Crows? He has just been using his position at the club to dig his face further into the trough.

We don’t need a home ground if our agreement with the sanfl is that we play 18 away games? I assumed that was the reason.

And women’s footy is horrendous enough with 6 goals a game on a small oval, let alone a large oval like thebby.

Not only survive coach after coach but do so when presiding over one of the areas of the ground that we have traditionally been outsmarted in.

I mean for christ sake he had a midfield with Thomspon in his prime, Sloane, Dangerfield, an AA contender Sauce and we were still regularly beaten in the middle.

It's no suprise Danger won his Brownlow the year after he left us, he was finally used intelligently. Geelong play him to his strengths and try and avoid exposing his weakness.

Amazingly enough, I don't think Campo is as much at fault as the other assistants at the moment, it's the fitness of the personnel on the inside that are killing us. Gibbs is our only consistently good midfielder

I think he's most at fault. The names he has had (until this year) have been top of the class.

Yep, and those top of the class mids took us to a grand final last year. Our midfield structures appeared fine in 2017

So Pyke wanted Longmuir to be his defence coach, instead we went Roo's cheap option.

I have maintained for all his greatness, Roo playing in that 07 Hawks final was the most selfish act of a player in our history. He has continued that on since he's been on the board.

Some posters think that decision was strength. It's bullshit. Thommo stated, "in a final, you always put your hand up ". That's our culture, it's not team first, nobody hands their spot to a younger and/or fitter player. Otherwise they might just keep it. We're not a club, we're a bunch of individuals looking after themselves. And our coaching group encourages this shit culture.

There are 2 key factors that bug me most. Im willing ti give Francou time, based on reputation. Hart was such a ridiculous appointment, again based on reputation but we have more pressing concerns.

1 - We look unfit as ****, it's terrible. We can't even outrun a young freo side on a big ground. Hass HAS to go, plain and simple. The current state of our injury list and player condition is a joke of the competition.

If this was Polous in this scenario, given what he'd done for multiple years, you'd be willing to put this down to luck, and maybe an error of judgement in the pre-season.

But Haas, and Burton came from an absolute shit show over at Brisbane, and yet we feel their services are required, and this is what they deliver. An other industry and they'd be fired right here and now.

2 - We still have the same midfield issues we've had for years and years. We cannot defend a well organised and performing midfield. Once a blue moon we pull a game out of our ass, where everyone seems up for it, but it's not because we are executing everything to plan. sometimes we just want the ball more.

The fact that I see such fluid, organised and 2-way operating midfields in the SANFL, and yet we run around completely devoid of any structure or urgency when we don't have the ball in our hands is a complete joke.

I don't understand why we've allowed this to go for as long as it has.

Sometimes I sway myself to think that when things are going well, we moved the ball so well in 2017 that I wanted to think things had started to change.

But then I stop and see how we operate when we don't have the ball and it's just crap. This year, last year, all the years before that. A lot of it may be down to fitness for this season yes. It's obvious no one is running anywhere near as hard, but boy do we suck at defending as a midfield unit. Regardless of how good our offence is, our defence has been a glaring weakpoint in our side for years on end now, irrespective of the personnel running through the midfield, or the team's success at any one given point.

I'm not convinced the culture is that way around. Sauce plays hindered, he knows that hes playing well below his best AND he's keen to keep ROB in the 2's despite knowing he's struggling.

That sums up our club, it's not team first, we're not close at all. And Roo was the perfect example, he believed that 2 minutes of him in a 120 minute game was worth more than 120 minutes of the next player.

The culture has not changed. ROO is clearly a problem. Just because you're a good footy player and have made a buck from pubs, doesn’t mean you can recruit the best footy manager available. You screwed up Roo. Fix it, or stand aside.

He's right though, players will generally always put their hands up to play at every club.

But as you say it doesn't make it the right decision. Roo knew the power he had as the greatest player in our history, and he used it.

If he doesn't play, we win that game. As simple as that.

From a business perspective it was great of him to get Tex and co into his pubs, gives them something after footy and helps promote the pub. He is treating his footy club like his own hobby horse and it has to stop.
