Barton did that to Danny Mills when he scored a worldy for us years ago. Thought it was an odd celebration at the time but just Joey being Joey as mentioned above.

Most City fans would have loved to kick Mills in the bollocks FWIW.

Do yourselves a favour.

I am lost for words.

I dont know enough about Arsenal's history. But since ive been an avid football fan... say 1990 onwards. He was the best I ever saw play for Arsenal.

Is he the greatest player in the clubs history Cruyff14?

Bergkamp? Adams?

It's strange actually I saw a greatest 50 players ever for Arsenal on their website and the top 7 were all recent players, like from the past 15 or so years. Dont Arsenal have greats from a time long ago.

Like your Alex Raisbeck, Bill Liddell etc.. even Dalglish and Hansen, Hughes, Nicol, Rush etc were from 30 years back now.

Oh and im not having a go at Arsenal but that top 50 I saw was a bit strange. Is Kanu really the 13th greatest player to ever play for Arsenal? Is Ray Parlour really the 19th best player ever to grace the Arsenal shirt?

Not wanting to start a shit fight but Kanu wouldnt get anywhere near 13th for a LFC greatest of all time.

Ray Parlour was extremely underrated, he did a lot of the graft that the better flair players weren't doing, was an important cog in that machine. Has a goal or two in him, too. Put it this way, if Henderson turns out to be anywhere near as good as Parlour was I'd be well happy

Seriously Henry, Pires, Bergkamp, that side seriously mesmerised me back in my youth, what a team. It still sets a standard of the beautiful game in England that has still to be matched to this day. **** all those Manc sides, that Arsenal side played proper football

Yeah im not saying Parlour was shit. Did a lot of the dirty work but if someone said he was one of the 20 greatest players to ever play for the club, I would say you are having a laugh surely. But then I dont know enough about Arsenal's history. Maybe they just dont have that many great players.

Meh its a fans poll (not pole)

Considering how successful Arsenal have been over the last 18 years it goes without saying that most of the players would come from this period. And with Kanu being african i can see why hes so high.

Just like the vast bulk of Liverpool's probably come from the 1970's-1980's.

Ray Parlour is vastly underrated though.

jod23 I think a lot of the top voted players were recent because younger people use the Internet etc and thus have a bigger outcome over the final placings. If more 40-70/80 year olds used the internet, I am sure the result will have been different, no disputing Henry's status as The King though. Absolutely none at all. Won't be a better player at the club.

As a neutral, I'd take Henry over Gerrard both in their primes.

Henry was just unbelievably brilliant. Which is nothing against Gerrard.
