Fair enough, my point was that if you can shut down a teams best player you have a better chance to beat them, us stopping Messi scoring played a pretty big part in winning the CL. I'm happy to be proud of that. No ones saying Messi's shit or it makes him a worse player.

But moving on.
So you celebrate a good result. That pic is celebrating keeping Messi scoreless, even in games you lost. Seems weird to me.

For someone of Messi's ability to not score against a team for so long is quite noteworthy though

Although Arbeloa did keep him in his pocket against us too, that was when he still played on the right hand side though

Zidane and Bergkamp, the two most technically gifted players I've seen, two footballers I'd kill to play like

These are all the tweets. He is pretty spot on.

I do find it odd when the people defending JT say stuff like "it was Bridge's ex, he wasn't even with her anymore." What they seem to forget is that he still cheated on his wife.

Wasnt City's loss, we were never going to sign him on a pro contract and he wouldnt be a hundredth of the player he ended up being even if he did carry on at City.

As it is, while I respect his achievements in the team environment he is vastly over rated as a player.

I first came to Manchester in 1993, Giggs was being kept out of the side by Kanchelskis. For a long time he was what I'd call an underperformer, never really fulfilling the expectarions of him when he first broke through.

In the late 90's and early 00's he had a reputation if only performing when his contract was up for renewal. Was booed on many occasions by United supporters.

For me his best era at United came in his mid 30's whwn he moved away from being an inconsistent, occasionally anonymous, occasionally brilliant winger.

And as a man, lets face it when Joey Barton calls you out and no-one can really argue with what he says, you've got some skeletons in the cupboard.

Respect his longetivity, respect his ability but would struggle to make my Man United team if the premier league era.

No, as I said he wouldnt have been anywhere near the player he ended up being if he stayed at City. And I just don't rate him anywhere near other rag players I would have loved to have seen at City.
