I think we are seeing the emergence of someone special here , the most promising one touch key sized forward we've seen for a long long time , haven't seen him do a lot of contested marking ?
Don't worry we will be looking for him more now instead of always going to Jack which will have 2 opponents on him.

According to Big Cox in another thread, Morton has already been told he will be put up for trade at the end of the year. No future at Richmond.
I dont know what to think of this. Could get a good pick. but he was a good player for us and would be very good in a premiership forward line. Taylor or someone else might be who we are looking for in his role.

Not sure we would get a good pick for him. Other clubs may be very hesitant if he has been booted out of 2 clubs at such a young age.

Have a feeling Hardwick discards wont have as much currency as previous coaches discards. In other words oppositions may respect the ability of Hardwick to pull players into line with a good attitude more so than Wallace.

A player to fail under DH and Worsfold for discipline, and while undoubtedly talented, may just come with to many alarm bells.

he may not be at Coburg because of descipline reasons. DH may just think there is someone on the list or we ae going to pick up that will be better than him. At worst i think we would get a mid thi rounder.

looks like we are getting rid of the Miller and TW influence.... Mcmahon, Thompson and now Morton..... all players we traded for under them.

what is big cox strike rate like?
Shithouse.

Biggest bullshitter out.

i.e. Nicoski to Richmond: http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=630716

Jonathon Griffin to Sydney: http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=623328

And then there was the thread I can't find about JON where he rubbished us and told all and sundry JON would be a superstar for the Eagles this year.

I think those three things say enough.

Also in contact with the management of "the very unsettled" Chris Knights from Adelaide.
Now this is what I like to hear, from a poster with a decent history. :thumbsu:

Play this kid at CHB- he looks so comfortable there. Reads the play so well, footy smarts and very clean user.
I like him.
Our first pick in this years draft will be a forward perhaps Darling or Day,

I agree that I think he looks like a great long term CHB. Draft either Darling or Day next year, we have currently either Post/Gourdis for Full Back role and we are starting to look pretty sweet for KPP's moving forward.

1st game i seen astbury play coburg v richmond at cragieburn pre season

i said this kid is special definate kpf, reminded me a hell of a lot of nick reiwoldts first few games.

give astbury 2 more years with 2 more preseasons under his belt to build motor/stamina & add another 10-12 kgs on the frame

he will be giving alot of teams alot of headaches for the next 10 years,im very very confident with this kid.

we definately have a keeper

i would not waste his talent down there. we have Rance, Goo who can go down there if needed. But Rance really needs to lift if he wants to stay on the list past next year, because the spots are drying up.
LOL hes a second year KPP...give him time. He has shown very good signs. Best on for Coburg on the weekend. He is looks better as a forward to me.

I know we need KP backs but I really like Astbury as a forward. Him, Riewoldt and Griffiths would be a nice forward line for the future if they all live up to expectations.

What I really liked was when he went to ground in a marking contest he immediately sprang to his feet like a cat. You don't see that too often in KPPs.
