Names of two of the bombers are apparently Abu Muhammad and Zahran Hashim.
Sri Lanka's police chief made a nationwide alert 10 days before Sunday's bomb attacks in the country that suicide bombers planned to hit "prominent churches", according to the warning seen by AFP news agency.
Police chief Pujuth Jayasundara sent an intelligence warning to top officers on April 11 setting out the threat.
"A foreign intelligence agency has reported that the NTJ (National Thowheeth Jama'ath) is planning to carry out suicide attacks targeting prominent churches as well as the Indian high commission in Colombo," said the alert.
The NTJ is a Muslim group in Sri Lanka that came to notice last year when it was linked to the vandalisation of Buddhist statues.

The LTTE have effectively been defunct for a decade, meanwhile Sri Lanka (and every other country, really) has had concerns about fighters returning from IS. The targets and symbolism immediately indicated Islamic terrorism.

Saddened by an attack by a bunch of pricks on a bunch of people practising their faith on a sacred day.

Yet to be confirmed if this is an attack by Tamils or Muslims but I would expect the same level of remorse to be shown by their conservative communities like Christians to those Muslims attacked in NZ.

Sorry to say but they will never be as remorseful as the Christians. It will be the same crud message condemning the terrorists with no heart behind it. Christians go above and beyond for other religions that couldn't give a rats about them.

Posted on page one of the Christchurch attack thread.

This mod has set the standard for laying of blame on other people who had nothing to do with the crime/terror attack/atrocity etc however are somehow connected to it because of their beliefs.
He was an alt-right terrorist you *******.

Puts a couple of extra question marks over how huge 800 year old oak beams in Notre Dame were able to light up like tissue paper during a Christian holy week due to a "construction accident".
No it doesn't. It's timber. Learn science before you put down uneducated conspiracy theories.

There are probably 2 million people in Australia that you would consider alt right and a literal lone wolf one commits an atrocity and you layed collective blame on them all.

The same as there hypothetically being millions of people that follow a particular religion in a country and a couple commit an atrocity then someone thanks those (insert religion here) knobs for the atrocity.

When you call them out for it they will then reply with
"They were (insert religion here) terrorists you ****head".

No, there arent.

There are a handful of vocal flogs on the internet plus those dipshits that turn up to UPF rallies. They'd number several thousand at most.

And he wasnt a lone wolf. The other dipshits in the forums literally cheered him on while he livestreamed it.

Well over 200 dead. Likely to be returned IS fighters.
I'm not right across Islamist terror attacks in SL but posted on the other thread this seems to have more a european flavour to it in the targets, ambition, coordination and the big numbers of deaths
