If we worry too much about it we have already lost. 12 months ago to the day I was in two of those hotels and had breakfast at the cinnamon grand. Someone is going to be in the wrong place at the wrong time like getting on one of those Boeing max planes, or driving home and some drunk crashes into you.
I missed the Bourke St guy by a few minutes. A few years ago we talked about the terrible things happening “over there”. It gets closer to home all the time.

Apparently crowds are down by about a third at the Anzac Day service. Authorities are at pains to say it isn’t because of the threat of terrorism, but it’s almost certainly a factor.

Aren't you that climate change denier guy?
I don’t deny that climate change is happening. Your side just won’t call it man made climate change because you know that it isn’t.
Now stay on track because nearly 359 Christian worshippers have been killed and you don’t think it is as reprehensible as 50 Muslims being killed in Christchurch.

Lol, seeya later alligator! Why have you linked these names on this thread? Are you suggesting a win for Chistians or something? Your treading a fine line between bad taste and being contacted by Asio.

There's lots of reasons why Easter Worshippers should be berated. It is the right and honourable thing to do
Lol and I bet you're there berating all religious people, aren't you? You're a discriminatory POS celebrating the massacre of over 350 people.

No, I’m linking the names of those who are more concerned with what happened in Christchurch and won’t touch this other incident were a minority group have been deliberately slaughtered in Sri Lanka.
How in hell did you link what ai said with being contacted by ASIO?

lol with the ASIO shite again.

If that doesn't work ask for someone's real name or address, that's usually your next fall back position.

I’m not trying to win points. Just searching for some balance and objectivity.
Btw, I’m only a little right of centre and just below the line on the political compass. Everything looks right to you when you’re left of the Greens on social and political issues.

For several years, every time I go somewhere there’s a big crowd - tonight, season-opener, Boxing Day, finals - I wonder if this is the one they’ll target. Maybe it’s unfair, but I resent Muslims generally for making this part of our lives. I just don’t understand why we are accommodating them and honestly believe Trump is one of the few world leaders with his head screwed on.
Well then you have an understanding of how it feels now to be a Muslim and to go to a mosque from now on. You don't know if today is the day a RWNJ is going to walk in and start shooting everyone.

You’re all welcome to post in this thread. We need your views. Some of these other posters in this thread have gone off track.
They’re not here because the entire progressive narrative about Islam collapses due to this event. Two of the bombers were sons of a millionaire. They attacked non-whites based on their religion and that alone. Sri Lanka is not in the Western geopolitical sphere of influence - if anything these days it is in China’s (and China is imprisoning millions of Muslims).

One dimwit tried to tie it to Iraq, but this has as much to do with Iraq as the Bojinka plot. Back then they tried to assassinate the Pope.

Islam has an enormous antipathy to the West (which to them is a debased Christendom they have been at war with since the beginning). It prefigures the entire orientation of the religion. Anyone who thinks Islam and what we call “the West” can get on peacefully has no idea about Islam.

Yeah, I do (even if one came before the other). The difference is that all right-thinking people spoke out against Christchurch equally. Tarrant's an inhuman campaigner who is missing a chromosome. I suspect he'll be taken care of sooner rather than later.

Yes they must feel the same after one attack in response to ongoing extremist Muslim attacks (which is no justification as we should be better) unlike the almost weekly atrocities committed by muslim extremists against christians and any other civvies (including many decent muslims) they can kill around the world.

In fact history shows that muslims going to mosques should be more afraid that some muslim extremist will attack them.

Be careful with the term "history shows" when it comes to the history of Christian/Islamic relations.
You might end up looking like a fool :p

Yes but the chances of that are minimal less than a shule a church and multiple times less than some Islamic nutter killing anyone anywhere
