When you look at Richmond this year they definately improved and have beaten soem decent sides above them like the saints, hawks and were fighting for a bottom spot in the 8.. but when you lose to the winless Gold Coast all that means nothing in the end.

Their 5 extra meaningless wins mean nothing in the long run
They have the most improved midfield in the comp. They have some talent developing in the backline and a forwrd line capable of kicking a fair few goals. Probably one tall forward and one classy flanker away from being a very very good team. They will be a force next year, as sick as it makes me to say that.

As convenient as Richmond has been in the past in soaking up bad press, like a few others have already said, I'd happily swap our situation for theirs. We're in the shit.

We know where we're at. Media sinking the boots into us all year, where as they hyped Richmond as apparently the next big thing.

How quickly things change in footy.
