My Collingwood mate says he is a turnover merchant.......hope we can iron that out of him.
I guess it's like how some North supporters who say that Wells will be lucky to get on the park for the Pies while some say that he may not play every game but he is quality.
I know a few Pies supporters and fortunately they are quite reasonable, you can actually talk football with them. I discussed Williams with two of them the other day and lead with a question about his kicking. "he wasn't our best but wasn't our worst". They believe his issue is in his head and seemed to lose his way this year. They weren't sure if it was Bucks, the wrong crowd or he just went backwards. Both thought he was on the verge of "breaking out" at the start of this season but picked up some injuries but never look like it. His kicking was crap this year but prior seasons it wasn't an issue. They said that he does turns it over but they reckon he takes the most risks with his kicks. He likes to kick to space or spear one though the middle of the ground and when he doesn't execute it usually results in a scoring shot. This year was bad, he was turning it over with 25 metre kicks, some never left the ground. On song in 2015, noone could grab him or stop his run and carry out of defence. (End of Williams discussion)
My assessment on very limited information is if he can get his shit right off the ground he will get his shit right on the ground. I petsonally would like to see him play in the middle or at least tried there as his toughness and evasiness coild be a real asset. I can just see him receiving a Cunners dinky ball breaking handball and breaking through two tackles and handballing to Simpkin who flashes past him to register number 5.
Sorry got carried away.
