Had a decent line to add about being surprised that BMac wasn't picked up by Richmond...something about Tiger Bread....far too drunk to remember it now, but trust me when I say it was well worth posting.

And I think, circa now, in the cold light of day, we can all agree on that.

So, yeah. 2017 tracking beautifully so far. Asahi and aged bourbon. 5.30 am. Winning.

2017 > daylight > 2016. Not a single celebrity dead yet.

Anyways, while I'm not on the subject.....what the **** kind of name is Montevideo for a place? Has anybody ever met any Montevideons? If so, did you give them a hard time about killing the radio star?

Personally, I've never met a single Montevideon. And that concerns me somewhat.

So in conclusion, have a jolly New Years or whatever it is that people say at this time.

Except the Ziebull. (Because as you well know, you suck.) The rest of you - tally ho. Love yousall. Break a leg. Pip pip. Etc.

From the start Bread kicked the ball
Elite was the call. Until delisting.
Many mates at Arden St.
Crumby jokes are left to ponder.

After Bread arrived at Arden St he disappeared and no one knew what became of him. He was the first pick, who had studied elite kicking in South Australia, but since he showed nothing of it, save for one kick, he is not remembered for having brought excellence into the club.

Bread trained at Sturt and accepted their true teaching. He did not travel while he was there. Training constantly, he lived on a remote part of Unley. Whenever people found him and asked him to kick he would kick a few balls and then move to another part of Unley where he could be found less easily.

The Coach heard about Bread when he arrived at Arden St and asked him to kick for his edification and that of his teammates. Bread stood before the coach in silence. He then produced a ball from the folds of his robe, and kicked one elite kick. Bowing politely, he disappeared.

What is the sound of one left foot?
Perfect silence reigns.
Young, left foot is not Wright.
Dead men do not kick. Get out.

Well I have never met anyone from Montevideo, or seen the movie, but I once was curious as to what you would call someone who was from Mozambique. Are they Mozambiquan, a Mozambiquie or perhaps just Mozambeke. So, as one tends to do, I called the Embassy! Turns out, if you are from Mozambique, you are Mozambiquan.

Speaking of which......it appears Waite has taken an unofficial leadership role on the training track, am I right in saying that? Those who have been watching pre season training??
My sense from his videos is that he fully recognises where he sits in the team's new demographic (he's now our oldest and most experienced player) and, as the KPF 'elder statesman' knows that providing mentoring for the younger KPPs is a role he needs to take up, as Drew did before him. I've also said before, and will say again, he also seems to have really embraced the club wholeheartedly.

Saw Taylor Garner all by himself (other than 1 NMFC Trainer) doing 200 metre run throughs between the Xmas and New Year period.

The trainer was recording data on a laptop and video so they might have been working on his running technique.

He seemed to be hitting top speed so hopefully his hamstring issues are behind him.

The trainer left but Taylor stayed back to run a series of 400m laps.

Pretty sure it was during an official break for the players so cant question his professionalism, just hope he finally has a bit of luck with injuries this year.

When you see this kid at training you can see how much he wants it. He has a bundle of ability ao it would be great to see his body allow him to play regularly.
