Hi lads, I believe it is time for an Atlantic Football League containing 14 teams to be played in the AFL off-season.

It would be as follows

Rome Eagles - Olimpico
California Bulldogs - O.Co Coliseum
Munich Martians - Olympiastadion
Moscow Monsters - Luzhniki
Canada Giants - Commonwealth Stadium
Barcelona Bears - Lluis Companys
Greater Eastern European Goats - Plovdiv Stadium
Philadelphia Yabbies - Franklin Field
Poland Magpies - Silesian Stadium
Southern American Dockers - Estadio Nacional de Chile
Brazilian Swans - Maracana
Sweden Kangaroos - Ullevi
Greater Northern London Power - Olympic Stadium
Greater Southern London Suns - Lords

It would be good if here in bigfooty we could workshop an idea for an international Club competition played in the off season.

Not sure I would limit it to just the atlantic area if time zone issues could be resolved.

I have some random thoughts

-- many soccer clubs would love it if they could form an international club league. European clubs often talk about it
--Would be a way to get some international investment into AFL, consortiums could operate a club for a fixed period but not own it - that way it could be moved to another international location
--eventually would bring talent into the sport. could allow a certain number of aussies to play for each team. under such rules, could eventually have a couple of Australian teams in it Initially recent retirees could extend their career by a season or two
--Could be televised back to Aus.
--comp makeup to be similar to the rugby 15s tournament, clubs could go on tours of 2-3 away games to cut down on the amount of travel
