The season rolls on. Shock horror that I am making an ATP thread 2022 before a WTA thread, but Juan Martin Del Potro is about to take to the court in what could be his last match ever in front of an enduring sold-out home crowd in Argentina. Got some stuff to do today, but will be keeping a close eye on this match when I can.

JMDP broke Delbonis in the first game but since then, it has been all Delbonis. 6-1 quite quickly.

This will be over quickly. JM struggling but this isn't about the result really.

Delpo breaks and then gets broken back again, just like the first set.

Its great that Del is playing against a very good friend.

JMDP has a wild card in Rio. Reckon that will be that after that tournament. The guy can't move well at all.

Delbonis, you big meanie. Stop drop-shotting him. The crowd is whistling him every time he does it

Del Potro can't move off the baseline. Delbonis wins but big hug at the end between the 2 players.

Sad moment. 2 horrible injuries derailed what could have been one of the great careers.

Del Potro was at the level of Murray - Reckon he could have won 3 to 5 Grand Slams.
I reckon he was better

After that Wrist injury, which basically meant he had no backhand, he still was reached a slam final and #3 in the world.

Would have been something to see how the big 3 would have combated someone with that power on the forehand.

And that is why we have stupid super duper match tie breaks.

FAA is in the final against the Greek. Can he finally win a title

Watched two of FAA's matches - Never seen him hit the ball better - It will be mental if he loses.

Exceptional start to the year for Felix. Monkey finally off the back and no reason he can't push on to reach top 4 by the end of the season.

Wouldn't be surprised if he wins one of Miami/IW
