Legitimately one that can push Nadal. Djokovic has tried countless times for probably 3, 4 or 5 times to defeat Nadal on clay. Even at his best
Alcaraz can push any of them all the way this year alone in the French. Ridiculous. Major to come this year the soonest.

Zverev should’ve never been world number 3 anyway. Not on any level of even Medevev.

He can have two weeks off and start his RG campaign hopefully rested and over injury niggles. This will help a lot with the five-set format which he still doesn't have much form in.

They should look at adjusting the ATP (& WTA) schedules - Madrid and Rome probably need a week between them (so Madrid should start a week earlier).

Next year they will be 96 player 10 day events like Indian wells and Miami. Calendar is going to look a little different next year

De Minaur finally starting to find some form again after a pretty awful year. Very unlikely to post big results for the rest of the claycourt season but I could see him making the quarters at Wimbledon or winning Queens at this rate.

Well, he's pretty much achieved his best-ever clay season so anything he does at RG is a bonus. Always found it a little strange he didn't do so well on the dirt considering he pretty much grew up on that surface in Spain.

Living up to his seeding in Paris would be a good result and then he can get over to practise on the good stuff.

Nadal is still good enough he will win the French this year
Good enough maybe but his body won't let him, and honestly despite his earlier results this year he's been hitting the ball the worst of his professional career anyway. Which goes to show how much better than the rest the big 3 are and how unlucky the likes of Murray, Tsonga, Berdych, Ferrer, Delpo and Wawrinka were to be born when they were. Anyways the only reason he had that start to the season was that Djoko, Meddy, Tstitsipas, Zverev and Berrettini were all not playing/playing injured/badly out of form imo. Tsitsipas, Zverev and Djoko are all getting back to their best, Alcaraz seems here to stay and I've seen some miraculous recoveries from Rafa before, but I don't see that foot improving enough to win the French after what he looked like last night. He's 35, hasn't been able to put multiple injury-free months together for over a year now and the competition has more or less caught him anyway.

It's kind of funny watching Gulbis grinding challenger qualies knowing he's the heir to a multi billion dollar fortune.

Jordan Thompson won the Surbiton challenger to start the grasscourt season last night, good result for him with Murray playing and all of the seeds top 100 in the world. Kubler also won one in the US, although a lot weaker. We are now entering the 4 weeks of the season where our 150-300 ranked Aussie battlers become relevant because Australians are the only people to consistently play on grass as juniors.

I don't think Thompson needs it but doesn't the winner of the Surbiton challenger get a WC into Wimbledon. in saying that, the cut off for Wimbledon would be around 140 with all the Russian players missing.

Think the cut off in the men's will be around 118 while the women's will be 130+.
