Well deserved win to Hurkacz but another disappointing loss for Rublev.
Not a bad year for Rublev with winning Monte Carlo & 3 QF's in the slams but he needs to calm down if he wants to get to another level.

Looked at the Tokyo draw yesterday. Pleased to see a bunch of Aussie boys in there though most had tough R1 opponents.

jordan Thompson had the most unwinnable one but then smashes out Zverev in straight sets lol.

Would of been nice to see a couple of the other boys win, this Asian swing could of been a bit better.

Great win for Thommo though, hopefully over his injury.

Was even stevens with Shelton through the first set but manages to pull ahead 7-6 with a clutch TB win.

Poppy (who upset Khachanov) & Demon also chances of at least making the quarters in Tokyo.

Alcaraz out of Basel. If he misses Paris as well it will make it extremely likely that Djokovic will take his 8th year end no 1, which would be another record (3 ahead of Federer and Nadal).

Alcaraz didn't play last years ATP finals & Djokovic won it so a big points shift could happen.
A pity if it did, Djokovic has probably stopped caring about ranking but he is still clearly the best tennis player.

As Alcaraz is missing Basel Djokovic will start with a 500 point lead to Paris and Turin.
If Alcaraz doesn't play Paris then he'll likely fall further behind Djokovic.
If Djokovic wins Paris it's going to be very difficult for Alcaraz (or Medvedev for that matter) to chase him down.

Ben Shelton makes his way into first ATP final after recovering from a set and double break down. Incredible. His court smarts are really impressing me lately, and he really does seem to have great mental toughness. US Open, Shanghai, Tokyo, what a set of tournaments for the 21 year old.

I know some of you said you can get tennis on tennis tv or some other streaming services, but I no longer get the smaller tournaments as I cannot afford to pay for them. So can’t wait to watch all the Australian tournaments on fta this summer…

Auger-Aliassime seems to have come out of his slump, into the finals of the Swiss Indoors after taking out Rune.
Vienna getting more top players so the Sinner & Medvedev final should be better, I think it starts at midnight so the timing to watch isn't that bad either.

Battle of the slumpers there. I saw a little of FAA's quarterfinal and still looked completely out of sorts. But managing to get the wins this week.

Bit of a odd occurrence on the Challenger tour today with a final taking place in Adelaide today. James Duckworth won the title by beating a 19 year old from Hong Kong. That's not that out of the ordinary but only for the fact James beat the same player in a challenger in Shenzen just last week. Pretty amazing they both travelled that far just to play each other in a final again a week later.

James can be knocking the door on a top 100 berth again if he has another big week before the end of the year. There's a challenger in Sydney this upcoming week.
