Hi everyone, going to try something different as these stories are pretty popular as we've seen in the past with football stories. I'm using a text based tennis simulator and what it allows you to do is add players to it and then simulates tournaments. You are randomly added to tournaments by the sim and I have little control over what you enter or how you go, but it's pretty good for a basic sim.

I was hoping to get people to sign up and then I could turn it into an interactive story. Don't worry if I start before you sign up, players can be added at any time :)

All I need is a name and a country, if you want to add up to three players so we've got more to add to the sim, then that's great.

Can you beat the likes of Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic? Sign up and find out! It runs through an actual year with actual tournaments and is ongoing! Not with doubles or mixed doubles or Davis Cup, but all the other tournaments are realistic. I'll aim to start tonight so hopefully can get a couple if possible, but again sign up at any time.

Players:
Peter Williams - Australia
Ralf Landgraf - Austria
Dom Sharples - Great Britain

Sign up with a name and nationality at any time :)

We're here in sunny Brisbane for the opening tournament of the tennis calendar and of course the Australian summer of tennis. We welcome three new faces to the ATP Tour this season with our Aussie favourite Peter Williams joining Englishman Dom Sharples and Austrian Ralf Landgraf. All three will be wildcards in the next three events as they strive to make their names known on the world stage.

Ralf Landgraf will have a baptism of fire up first, coming up against number one seed and world number four, Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka. Dom Sharples also has a tougher than hoped first match against eleventh seed Federico Delbonis, while Peter Williams has the easiest of the three newcomers, taking on 225th ranked Elias Ymer in the first round. Wawrinka is the overwhelming favourite for the tournament, with the number two seed Richard Gasquet ranked 22 places lower at 26.

In the other match, British up and comer Dom Sharples almost made it two matches without dropping a game in his huge 6-1 6-0 win over lowly Irishman Louk Sorenen. Sharples was the talk of the tournament after disposing of eleventh seed Federico Delbonis in the opening round 6-0 6-0 and now he moves through to the third round.

http://playasport.com/tennis/tennissimulation.html

It's a really basic text simulator, but it's pretty fun to kill boredom. The first year often you over achieve, but it's even more fun when you add lots of players because literally you can end up from grand slam winners to blokes/girls (WTA Tour available too) who can't get inside the top 100.
