Well the word poached implies that one would go out and target a player to go to their school. Caulfield clearly didn't do this as Juddy chose to attend Caulfield from year 7 like most high school kids do. He, being a genius, was placed on a full academic scholarship.

It's a bit like Juddy going to Carlton over Melbourne.

It was an athletics scholarship i have heard. Chris apparently got a 96 TER - that's not high enough for a scholarship.

Rumor had it that Tarcs played a school footy match & copped one on the ground 1 game so afterwards went into to oppositions rooms & belted a few. Dont know if it was true but it was a good school rumor, needless to say nobody ever hassled him.
