We lost the game because of poor kicking. We got crap decisions which influenced the result no doubt, but at the end of the day we made opportunities and then wasted them. Still, it would be nice to get an explanation for each of the dodgy decisions.

That should happen for every game, every week. Once upon a time it used to.

Imagine where the top 10 controversial decisions were highlighted by the umpiring panel on a Monday, with thumbs up/down and an justification/excuse in each case. That would defuse a lot of fan anger. Sadly that will never happen while the AFL pretends there are no wrong umpiring decisions in the deluded belief that denial fosters future umpires.

We lost the game from not taking our chances (yeah Im looking at you Scotland) The Umps made some pretty bad calls but they didnt cost us the win. I was on the Doggies board last week stating they lost because we were the better team on the day. Against Adelaide it was the same, remember they were missing heaps earlier in the game which could have made it pretty ugly.

They compensate by playing an ultra-defensive yawnfest style of footy, that even makes footy commentators cringe. lol. Some of those Crows V Swans ultraflood shootouts have been truly painful spectacles. To their credit, this dull footy has made them a consistent top-8 team, but they reliably fail in the finals when talent matters. Same situation in 2008.

Last night the Geish was on 3AW with Gerard Healy, Dwayne Russell and Bucks and Bucks asked him about the incident where the umpire tripped Fev and the Geish said that if he had his time again the umpire probably would have called it back. That's about a close as you'll get to admission of fault from the umps isn't it?

You could go through a thousand games and find where an umpire made a few bad calls when the match ended up close. Hell probably alot of those games you won as a result of those umpiring deceisions.

Iam just pointing out you can't blame umpires for a loss. It happens to all teams, such as Hawthorn, and they still win. If your good enough you win the game no matter what.

Fortunately what goes around comes around
in the umpiring world.
You win some, you lose some.
I'm sick of the 'blame game' when it comes to umpires.
Simple fact is we were our own worst enemies in the skills dept.
and the crows were just that little bit better.

Gibbs free against and then 59 metre penalty in 3rd quarter, also Judd ran someone down late in the game and incorrect disposal went unwhistled.

Judd also got run down himself between the wing and the 50m arc, also incorrect disposal, also unwhistled. Then the umpire went the further step of awarding Judd a free for holding. But no doubt you are fine with that.
