I'm not abusing you or getting personal mate so I'm within my rights.

Do you honestly think that calling the AFL is going to help Carlton in any way?

And what do you mean by "we can't get the 4 points back" ??

Sorry but that had me in stitches.

Dont u have better things to do............

like your sister......

Success?.. I've seen the swans win a flag, Haven't seen you guys do much apart from choking after finishing first in 05,06 whatever year it was

I guess its what you define success as. I would say we have been sucessful over the last 4 years.

Just like playing the 'what if' card with the umpires. I could raise the fact our worst recent record is against West Coast, whilst our Best is against Sydney. History would have been completely different had the finals played out in our favour.

'What if'

I hate that saying ahhh!

That was a free kick to the player who was behind Judd, he gave the ball to Judd, was tackled late and the umpire payed the free kick down-field

If that's the case then we missed out on repeated frees. No to mention when Judd took his kick he was walked almost 10m off his mark and the umpire did nothing.

Also the amount of times carlton were allowed to drop the ball. They were also allowed to dive on the ball and hold it in for a bounce, if we weren't standing at 90 degrees we got called for holding the ball.

wdgann wish we had you calling up for North when we got robbed 2 points by the swans cheating f****n #$#%

Carlton had chances...but they missed them. Trust me I wanted Carlton to win for obvious reasons.

ok if you are so concerned get someone from your board to complain to the afl, then start a thread on your board and then p-ss off back there and play with it, you Crows supporters have been trolling our board for days now, i am totally convinced you guys are still trying to work out how you won the game, so hears your answer you got lucky, will that do will you go away now, do you want a lolly pop will that make you go away.

Anyway, spoke to Rohan Sawyers. Given this is a public forum, I will head some of the warnings from other posts and not really delve into detail - he was quite nice to me on the phone and did take time out his busy schedule

He did say that a lot of the decisions were just based on the way the umpire saw it e.g Thornton dropped mark

On the Fevola decision, umpire was technically correct. However, because the obstruction happened so close to the mark, the umpire could have also simply put Fevola back to his mark to take the kick again (or play on) - that may have also been technically correct (For obvious reasons, Sawyers was uncommital on this point)

...It's like saying, "If we had played better we would have won"....

Port-Crows supporter, let me walk you through it. Everyone acknowledges the Blues dominated the last 1/4, and had more than enough opportunities to seal the deal easily. We missed a bucketload of opportunities, and therefore didn't deserve to win. But your take-home message is the Crows didn't have the list talent to do anything about it in the last 1/4, and just had to ultraflood, ice-the-clock, and hope. That is a worry. - your side is extremely vulnerable to much younger and more talented sides like the Blues. It was a hollow win because your finals campaign will be another straight-sets exit and you have an aging list with no upside. :)

What about the middle 2 quarters? Would it be accurate to say Carlton didn't have the list talent to do anything about what we were doing?

No.

Carlton have one of, if not the most talented list in the AFL.

You could try inexperience or unseasoned bodies, but not lack of talent :)

So when we lose a quarter it is because we are old and untalented (despite the fact that we only had 2 on the bench for the last half) but when we win quarters it's due to inexperience in the opposition?

What about the middle 2 quarters?...

Games are won in the last. Was pretty obvious you didn't have the list talent to engage in a last 1/4 shootout with the young Blues, and that's why you ultraflooded, and did the extreme clock-icing thing. These ugly tactics worked (just) and delivered a win. So glad the Blues don't have to resort to that rubbish football though. :)

But you had 21 on the field

We certainly had the talent to rip the game open in the 3rd quarter. :thumbsu:

:D I guess having Chris Knights and Jason Porplyzia injured had nothing to do with us running out of legs in the final quarter then?

We certainly had the talent...

So you ultraflooded because? lol. The Crows have been playing this extreme defensive rubbish footy for about 3-4 years now, to compensate for an aging list low on talent. It get's you into the 8, but not much more. There was even a Port-Crows supporter in this thread who called making the 8 "success". lol. It's all a little sad. :)

Another few years of good drafting and they will graduate to the Collingwood level where losing grand finals or missing out on them by less than a kick is considered success...well they can dream can't they? :D

Yep, there's a little bit of "near enough is good enough" Collingwood loser mentality about it all. lol. Watching that flooding rubbish they play week in week out, must be torture for their supporters. :)

Bet you wish you had gibbs back don't you

Only problem is once someone gets out of south australia they aren't going to come back

Um, what has Gibbs got to do with the price of eggs?

i suggest you try and get out before you end up in a barrel

Now you're taking stabs at Adelaide as a city ... even though the barrel incident didn't even happen in Adelaide. Nice try though.

If you want to get into weird things about certain states, what about that newborn baby that was found dumped in a bag in Victoria?

Shit happens everywhere mate.

you must really enjoy that rundle mall place though l guess

Oh dear :D

You've never been to Adelaide have you? You're just rolling off things you've heard about Adelaide from other people .. even though this is a thread about Carlton & the umpires .. you've really lost the plot. :o
