So they don’t spend any money here? They live on the streets because they don’t pay rent? They simply just work, don’t spend a single dollar, send it all back home, and what, steal food? Go through bins?

You’ve tied yourself in another knot, Einstein. Living and working here means they do support local businesses! Where they choose to send their disposable income is their business. You used yours to buy an investment property!

Its the attitude, not the money. " Australia is not my home, but I enjoy all those things I get from it".

I'll give an example. In our business we get a lot of Indians, and many travel back and forth to India. They are entitled to use our tax-payer funded sevices, and then will sometimes say : "I won't be buying from you because its cheaper when I go back home ie India"..well isn't Australia their home? Isn't it "cheaper" only because they are bringing back wealth they earned in Australia? How does that support local busineses and local jobs. What if we all went "back home" to spend our money? The money bothers me less than the ****ing attitude. Doesn't have to be us, but FFS support the local economy and people.

I’ll ask again, who are the people in your view that we should not allow in as they “don’t assimilate”?

Essentially it comes down to making this country your home, supporting its growth and development and showing some respect and gratitude to local people and the local way of life, and not just being here for the good you get out of it.

You understand the irony of a group of predominantly white Australians protesting on these grounds right?

Read it again.

If 2.2 million own at least 1 investment property along with their own property that would suggest that accounts for 4.4 million at a minimum.

What exactly is you point? Do you seriusly think that if there were no rentals everyone would be able to buy their own house?

There's a reason the government isn't increasing rental stock. Because its expensive, high risk and high maintenance.

Seems like you’re circling the point a bit here.

If you want a white Australia immigration policy then say it with your chest and own it. Stop dancing around the point we all know you’re making here.

Enjoy what mate? Working? Paying tax? Why should they not enjoy it? The benefit of going to a country with a better dollar and then returning home or investing home is probably smarter. House prices here are exorbitant. This is called a democracy mate, people can make their own choices re spending. You’re not the guardian of what should or shouldn’t be done because it’s ‘Un-Australian’.

Those Indian workers you speak of are paying tax aren’t they? Well **** me, what their net income is is up to them to spend. Thats the definition of a DEMOCRACY.

So you perceive Indian people to have a certain attitude and that’s adequate justification for denying a specific group of people the opportunity to immigrate here?

I don’t know how you can not call that racism.

I was born poor. I made choices at a time when my (wealthier) friends made different choices. I have built wealth through those choices. Nothing wrong with bettering your lot in life.

When I bought Melbourne's population was 3.2 million. Its now 5.4 million. All competing with another for housing. That is why your mortgage is high.

basically what they’re saying is, I’m going on holiday anyway, and it’ll be cheaper for me to buy something that costs less overseas while I’m there.

Don’t we all do that?

**** me, by that logic I’m un-Australian for going to Bali and spending my money there because it was cheaper than going to the Whitsundays or something.

I thought it was the cossie lives and housing prices?

Facts don’t care about your thoughts on their attitude (whatever that actually means).

It’ll be all white mate, sorry alright mate.

I don’t know how you can not call that racism.

Its a real world observation and lived experience that a disproportionate number do have that attitude.

Literally 3/4 of people talk to are going to Bali during the September school holidays! A good resort in Australia will cost you a $1,000 a night!

Observation and lived experience.

Well known “fact” based reasoning.

You should have stopped a couple hours back, at least there was some veil about you then.

But you still call Australia, still call Australiaaaaaaa HOOOOOOMMMME

I guess you should also tell people not to travel to Asian countries for a holiday because it isn’t supporting local businesses? Ironic that plenty of racists go to Kuta, piss on, disrespect the place, come home…..

There is many. Indians. Middle Eastern. African. Germans-chance of letting the odd Nazi through.

You mean that their ancestors didn't assimilate with the hunter-gatherer lifestyle and stick and mud technology that they left behind millenia ago? Is that what you mean?

So you’re now admitting, after claiming that this protest had nothing to do with race, that you do want to see somewhat of a white Australia policy return.

Pretty disgusting, but at least you’re finally being honest.

So I guess when I went to the UK to play cricket every year in my twenties, lived for basically peanuts, received a job, basically saved all my cash bar my beer money with the lads, I was doing the wrong thing by the English government? Because all that money I saved was worth a heap in AUD and went straight onto a house eventually!

Now you're being willfully ignorant. They're not going on "holidays". They're going "home". Australia is not "home".

Yeah, and? Does it have to be? If they’re working and paying tax then what difference does it make? Don’t give me some principle based morally wrong reason, plenty of people travel, work or work in other countries to make money and save etc.

These people are paying tax mate, that contributes to societal benefit.

So you mean when you had a temporary working VISA and hadn't moved you wife, kids and in-laws to start a new life over in the UK? Is that what you mean?

What is the net benefit when GDP per capita is going backwards?
