Toronto
Rd 1 Wawrinka v Nick K

Bizarre happening that this draw has happened at this tournament again. Wawrinka losing to donald young and nick is nick, who has any idea will win? Nick pulling out is the most likely option.

Ebden got in directly as well and plays polansky the Canadian wildcard in the first round.

Rublev looked exhausted towards the end, he pretty much played two matches in a day
He did and that tiebreak result in the 2nd set really would have hurt him.

De minaur had 2 very lucky breaks. First getting the walkover win in the quarter, then playing an opponent in the semi who was playing his 2nd match of the day.

Murray was the walkover too.

Awesome result for De Minaur. Clear now that he’s a top 50 player at only 19 years old.
Can’t wait to watch his progress and the first Aussie in a long time we don’t feel guilty supporting. Keeps going like this and he could be a top 30 player come the next Australian open.

I don't feel guilty supporting Barty, Thompson and Kokk.

Amazing from De Minaur. I don't know why they start so late in Washington as the late finishes have taken a tole on the players.

My main concern is he doesn't over do it. While it is tempting to keep playing I'd like to see him perhaps pack it in after the US Open and have a rest and big training block.

Rublev had his chance in the second set but to De Minaur's credit he did fight back

Who do you think should get the Tennis Australia wildcard for the US Open?

For me Kubler is the obvious choice but he is struggling with injury at the moment. Next in line is Bolt and then perhaps Pohlmans.

The only other one is Kokkinakis but he needs to string some good tournaments together to get ahead of those guys.

The scheduling has been pretty bad, Murray ended up playing until 3am. Is De Minaur playing next week?
