There is not one ounce of truth in her story IMO.

She is a cleaner, the sister said she was a personal trainer, and going to columbia for a one week working holiday - really????

supposedly saving for a wedding next year but heads of to Columbia for a week on her own, not even with the boyfriend, Who goes all that way for a week.

From the producers end 5.8kg is worth nothing and they wouldn't care about the mule at all but they must get some of this s**t through to keep doing it? How many out of a hundred would need to slip through for it to be worth it for them? Just a handful?

On her Fundrazr (imitation Gofundme... don't get me started on these type pages!!) there is a comment from someone connected with the CFS saying please remove all details that your sister volunteers for the CFS, she hasn't done anything with us for 3 years

If I was her I'd just take the guilty plea and do the time, reflecting on the dumb choices I made. She'll come out at 28 years age (if she even does the full sentence), still young enough to change her life around. It's a slap on the wrist compared to Asian countries.

Maybe she was investing in James Hirds chocolate factory.
Could she be a chocolate taster.

The comments on her fundrazr page are good viewing. People are taking her to the cleaners.

Her sister said she was over there to promote personal training and is a CFS volunteer, both of which have been debunked. Her boyfriend said she was over there as part of some cleaning business she manages and hasn't been a personal trainer for 6 months. The CFS thing was debunked by someone high up there which has been mentioned already. Farcical.

Annoys me how how the sister says in the description 'Our hearts break, because we know she is innocent, but stands little chance of proving it in such a corrupt country'. Typically arrogant bogan Aussie comment.

Interestingly the mum seems keen to plead guilty and have her out in 4 rather than 20. At least some common sense has prevailed.

The identical claim could be stated for this country.

John Elliot anyone?

Harriet Wran? (politicians daughter)

Kristina Hampel? (Judges daughter)

Then there's the truckload of data on cops getting hit with a lettuce leaf for breaking the law.

Anyway, keep kicking those bogans. Oi!, Oi!, Oi!

She's either a selfish idiot and knew what she was doing and got busted
or
a sacrificial lamb to let a big deal through the airport (the cops can parade her as a trophy whilst letting a bigger amount through).

Story is incredibly weird and full of holes it seems.

This is my feeling. If 5.8kgs gets held up they need 20kgs to go through to make it worth while. Though that relies on this end to be lax as well

How naive is this ******* family?

She is innocent and she would never do anything like this... Blah, blah, blah

Who the * buys 15 pairs of headphones. She clearly went there to smuggle coke and got caught. A 10 day working holiday LOL.

Now the family has set up a gofundme page to pay for her legal fees like she is some kind of angel. Pay for it yourself for *sake. What is it with all these people asking for handouts from strangers these days.

If she wasn't a pretty blonde we would never of heard about it.

GUILTY

The family has been told a guilty plea would likely bring a minimum sentence of six years in jail.

“He’s (the lawyer) hoping to downgrade the charges to the minimum if she pleads guilty..........

Relatively humane.

She would cop a minimum of 10 years here.

There's certainly more to it if she can't find a few grand to sling someone in Colombia.

“Then the day of her departure he came up to her hotel, gave her a package that was wrapped in black plastic we think, and she took it, put it in her luggage and this is where the naive bit comes in, she didn’t even rip it open to make sure there was just headphones in there,” she said.

“Cassie rang him when she was arrested and said she’d been arrested and he automatically said, ‘Oh, you’ve been arrested’, and he hung up and the phone was destroyed.”

LOL This is straight out of Banged Up Abroad

Seriously?!

For a large commercial?

Any examples?
I don't know the amount but this was for Importation

Link

In January last year, The Advertiser reported Constant, 31, had pleaded guilty to attempting to import pseudoephedrine, a chemical used in the production of amphetamines.

She committed her crime while already serving a suspended sentence for earlier drug offending.

Constant fell pregnant with her second child while awaiting sentencing, and her legal team argued she should not have to give birth in prison and be separated from the baby.

That bid failed in the District Court but succeeded on appeal, with Constant released on bail to give birth and bond with the child prior to resentencing.

On Thursday, Justices Kevin Nicholson, David Lovell and Martin Hinton imposed a 13-month jail term, but suspended it on condition of an 18-month, $100 good behaviour bond
