Maty Ryan earned another valuable clean-sheet, his second now in the EPL season. He played the full game in between the sticks, with 5 saves and a solid performance to keep Newcastle at bay. Brighton won 1-0 and have picked up 7 points over the last 3 games, to be in 13th on the table.
After playing in 120 minutes in AFC Bournemouth extra time win over Brighton in the English League Cup, Brad Smith didn't make the squad on Saturday, with Bournemouth losing 2-1 against Everton.
Below in the English League Championship, Jackson Irvine earned his first start for Hull City in their 1-1 draw with Reading, playing the full game in the middle.
