Any one seen any news about these blokes that were drafted ?

Has Brad (fixed) Wing been picked up by anyone ?

Any update about Gotsis ?

There's a bunch of other Aussies currently vying for punting jobs at various teams. One of them unleashed an 80 yard punt for the Panthers I think? Another one vying for eagles job. Forget their names cam Johnson could be one of them??
Was 81 yd for Eagles - Cameron Johnston

The Fulton County District has dropped charges against Broncos DT Adam Gotsis.

Gotsis was facing serious charges from a 2013 incident at Georgia Tech, but there wasn't enough evidence to move forward. Getting the legal matter resolved is obviously good for Gotsis' standing with the Broncos. Gotsis is still subject to a suspension under the league's personal conduct policy.

Surely punting is one of the best gigs in world sport, paid a heap of money to boot a ball down a field a few times a game and potentially play right into your 40s.

None of the awful pressure like the kicker has on them either.

Seattle have drafted Matt Dickson,21, punter with pick 149.

Formerly with the Sydney Swans academy.

Won the college award for best punter last year

Michael Dickson.

Can punt the ball 9 different ways to change the way it rotates in the air.
Says something when a rookie is looking like forcing someone of Jon Ryan's caliber out of the team.

All aboard the Michael Dickson Hype Train!

I mean the Seahawks moved up to draft him and he won a MVP for a Bowl Game. That's just incredible.

"We saw ups and downs from rookie LT Jordan Mailata, here are a couple plays of both. Excited to watch his continued development this summer"

Thanks to Rumply in the Eagles thread

He has been playing in the Eagles preseason games.

Some GMFB exposure for Michael Dickson who are making early calls on him for ROTY.

Given its too early, but he had 2 punts on the weekend against the vikings that went out at the 1 yard and 3 yard lines.

A punter winning ROTY would be amazing :tearsofjoy:

Not in a million years

I know, just imagine what he would have to do to win it... 99% of punts that go 90 yard and are downed inside the 5 yard line probably won't even get you close. :(

Maybe if he threw 10 TDs as well from fake punts

Jon Ryan could have taught him how to do that ;)

Just this amount of hype for a punter is unreal.

Well let's say all the rookie offensive and defensive players, QBs included, have a s**t year Dickson winning it would be possible but he'd have to smash some all-time punting records and be like almost twice as good statistically as the rest of the league. Hypothetically say 70 yard average, 60 net, 40 inside 20s, 20 inside 10s. But the rest of the O and D rookies would have to really suck, get injured, etc.

Think he was 50 net in most recent game and a few inside 5-10 yds.
