From what i've seen he looks very ordinary. I really hope he can start playing some good consistent footy and get himself in the ones, but a long way off the mark at the moment.

ive sen lucy's name appear amongst the best for bendigo a couple of times, he must have something for he is playing in a team that regularly gets flogged.

Ben jolley is getting a game in the ones, id consider him ordinary, he is so slow.

I like him. From what i have seen so far and it has been only a handfull games i must admit, he shown alot of dash from defence. Looks like being a handy player for us once he develops.

Apparently Brisbane were keen to pick Austin up in the draft.

With all the talk of Rischitelli wanting to come back to Victoria and the fact that we need a CHB and a bit of polish in the team could we possibly trade Lucy and our 2nd round pick for Aker and Rischitelli?

That would free us up to get one of Hansen or Gumby in the national draft. My preference would be for Hansen so there is no chance of him "going home".

We get Aker with some polish, Rischitelli who is considered to be a potential gun and a CHB prospect from the national draft. Brisbane get Lucy who they were originally after who could slot into a Leppitsch type role and another top 20 draft pick.

I think we would maybe have to give a bit more to Brisbane though so therefore throw in Cartledge to sweeten the deal. Keating is getting old.

Austin is a poor man's Matty Scarlett.

They have the same wiry build and pace off the mark although scarlett is a much better user of the footy. Hopefully with a few years in the weight room he can put some muscle on and become a decent defender.

Why the hell would Brisbane want to draft him, when they had 4 picks before he was drafted, and none after. It wasn't like you swept him out from under them
