Who's seen it and what did you think?

Saw it last night and thought it wasnt that funny at the start, but once it got funny bout half way through it was pretty damn funny!!

Best bits would have to involve "The Mole" and Mini Me - still crack up just reminiscing about it!!!!!!

The fat bastard jokes get a bit old and some jokes were re-used, but in all i thought the second half of the movie was funnier - must re-see the first one though, as have seen the 2nd one twice in the last month, but cant remember much about the 1st..

It really depends on a persons sense of humour - we all find different jokes funny... but the mole ones for me were hysterical... "bbuuhhh"

Hey Bluesbabe.

Im with you.
The first 30 minutes I didn't really like and thought it may be a disaster but it really picked up and I ended up really enjoying it.

Yes 'the mole' was hilarious.
The continual zoom in on it :D
Its funny becuase it is true. When you see something like that on someone, you can't help but stare!

I LOVED the rap with Dr Evil and Mini Me. A funny satire of rap music videos these days.

Mike Myers is a comic genius.
Adding another hilarious character to his persona in Goldmember.

Good cameos too.
Danny Devito really could play Mini Me. :D

Seen it yesterday, and was quiet good!
There is a big secret revealed towards the end, but I will not say a thing!! ;)

But I thought Skinny Bastard was funny at the end ... Another thing you have to wait and see :p

Britney Spears was in the movie for 1 minute!!
Totally awesome!!! :D :D :D

Cool Nick, glad it wasnt just me!!
Goldmembers antics with his skin made me physically ill, as did seeing Fat Bastards sweaty hairy body as usual, but that comment about the "guacamole" , the different reactions from Dr Evil, Mini and Austin on the mole, and the bit where Austin busted Mini Me in his hotel room and gave him what for were priceless!!! :D

It's funny, but not a good movie (if that makes sense). More like a series of loosely connected skits than a complete movie. The plot is even worse than the second movie (which is saying something). Goldmember himself was a waste of space - IMHO he was part of the "miss" in "hit and miss". Also, they spent barely 5 minutes in the 1970s. What's with that?!?! Could have been lots of funny ides there.

I thoroughly enjoyed it though, it's hilarious if you approach it in the right way.

They're going to keep making them, after all the money they're making. Shame, as the 2 sequels haven't come anywhere near the originality and freshness of the original movie.

And without giving it away, Des, you can see how number 4 is going to go, cant you! I can see it now, they have set it up already just from the last 5 minutes of Gold Member!

No, it wasnt a "good" movie, but as always light hearted, bit of a giggle, great costume and big colours, music and idiocy!

the Goldmember character was an absolute failure and they realised that during filming so they basically just redid the 2nd one with Dr Evil. Beyonce Knowles was a shocker, don't expect a huge acting career from her.

The movie started out alright with an interesting opening 5 minutes but from that point on the comedy was either already done in 1 & 2 or had been done by other comics. It's not a bad movie and it quite funny but is no way near as good as the first movie and they shouldn't make another one, but they are/will.

I haven't seen it but if it's like any of the other Austin Powers crap then it will be one of the worst movies on earth. Austin Powers is so stupid and is soo not funny. It's a joke.:p

That is your opinion, and from the success of the Austin Powers movies, i would think that there are many people that disagree with you anyway. But then considering what you have written under your avatar, you're not someone who i'd expect an intelligent response from anyway.

The first movie was by far the best.

The first film was an absolutely brilliant satire of James Bond/Spy films, jokes such as 'Random Task', 'The un-necessarily slow dipping mechanism' or how the family of a henchmem is affected were fantastic jokes.

IMO, the second two films seem to be spin-offs more than sequels, the second and third films quickly caved in to American Toilet humour and lost the satire.

Just plain and simply not funny. Had about 4 funny bits in it and the rest was terrible.

Austen Powers 1 - crap. Turned it off half way through. Tried to watch some more the next day, but it was just plain bad.

Austen Powers 11 - Surprisingly found it quite funny. Plenty of lame jokes, but the good ones made up for it.

Austen Powers 111 - pure nonsense.

Probably based more on the Flint movies in the 60s starring James Coburn. The Flint movies had the groovy hippy love type of feel to them that the Austin Powers movies has. At the start of Austin II he watches a movie and says "In Like Flint, my favorite movie!"

I think the last time i went to the movies was to see Legally Blonde. Hate Austinn Powers but saw the preview for this third one and it look funny although now i think they showed all the funny bits in the half hour special i watched on it so wots the point of seein it! That Wonder Years dude looks exactly the same mwahaha wot a loser!

Actually I think I'd prefer to spend 24 hours locked in a room with Dan*(insert IQ here) listening to him natter incessently about stats, than see it.
How could anybody honestly look at Mike Meyers and think he's even remotely funny.

24 hrs with Dan*(IQ = 60), I'll take the Mike Meyers movies (x4) thanks.

I saw it and thought that, although it had its moments (such as the mole and the shadow of Austing 'giving birth' to Mini Me) it was still not as good as the second one.

Goldmember was crap! Except for the 'fager' bit:D

I thought there was too much of a storyline in this one with the relationship b/w Austin and his Dad taking too much away from the battle b/w Austin and Dr. Evil and his henchmen (where i find the real laughs).

there was too much cookies and cream gotta-give-the-audience-a-message about a father's love, etc.

The Cameos were funny though!
'my little friend and i thinks its fine'

Some laughs but still not as good as no. 2 or 1

Is it just me or could the entire film have worked just fine had Gold Member not been there at all? What impact did he have on the plot... seriously?

I don't think the Dutch stereotype is quite profound enough to deserve a part in an Austin Powers movie, anyhoo.
