Doolan doing a Cowan and timing his run of form right if Ponting doesn't play the first Test. Although with their darling boy Smith making runs you could see him coming in if Punter doesn't get up.

Look at the current shield game down there.
Mate I'm obviously slightly tongue in cheek. Paine isn't a bad batsman. But it is more than possible to make runs at Bellreive. It can be sugar coated whatever way you like, but the facts of the matter are, Cowan has seven hundreds in forty innings at tassie, Bailey has seven in seventy innings, Wade has two in nine innings, Paine has none in thirty eight innings.

Maxwell sure is ruthless on anything near his hitting range. Doolan looks like a patient batsmen.
He is. Very classical in that sense. His temperament is what I liked about him from the time he came on the first class scene. He would often play important little innings that would stop us from capitulating. Even when he wasn't making that many runs, he would come in and face a lot of balls and see of the new ball, or establish an important little partnership. He's always been handy, but now he is looking quite exciting. Hoping he can keep it up.

Tahir just dropped an absolute sitter caught and bowled from Maxwell. Both lads now bought up their 50's.
I'd wager all my earnings on Tahir dropping said catch because he'd have been thinking about what celebration to do rather than focus on the matter at hand.

Knob. Hope we give him no wickets all series.

He certainly does love a celebration, doesnt he.

Cant remember who they were playing, but i saw him celebrate getting a tail ender out not too long ago. Celebrated it harder than warney did when he got his 700th.
