Thought I'd make a thread for this as I'm sure others will be as interested in it as I am. Cowan currently on 82*, no failures so far really and Forrest made 52. Interesting to see Uzzie Khawaja playing against them for Derbyshire. Bailey is currently the other man at the crease with 21*, and we're 2/187.

Thought this deserved it's own thread as it's specifically for talk about Australia's second XI.

Ah cheers, wasn't sure why patto_man missed out. I was happy with the IN: McDermott for Cummins though. :thumbsu:

Cowan just brings up a very brisk century, he and Bailey picking up the rate.

Joe Burns in after Cowan falls - I'm keen to see what this lad can do.

An amazing innings from Burns, was on about 6 from 41 when I last looked, 74 from 87 not out at the declaration.

Seems like pretty shameful bowling.

A 78 from Smith is at least encouraging.

Burns batting at 10, Khawaja bowling to them haha.

At least Khawaja is making runs against us.

very disappointing to see cutting going home with an injury. given his history even minor niggles (and i have no idea about this one) are not good signs.

as for the game, just going off the scores there is a few positives, but taking only 3 for in the first is definitely not one of them.

but at least we had two test players put in good numbers - cowan and lyon, whilst a few test aspirants (burns, bailey and dare i say it, smith and johnson) put in solid to real good returns, whilst the oppositions leading runscorer over their two innings was an australian...

i think you gotta pretty negative to not see some positives in those numbers.
