Can someone please tell me if Australia A has ever beaten the Australian team. I thought they did a few years ago, and the Asutralian team were not happy, but I can't find anything on the net about it.

I think the Aussie A side has beaten the number one side each time they've played.

I didn't think the A side ended up beating the Senior side back when they played in the one-day series with them. I could be wrong i'm not completly sure.

i reckon the "A" side could beat the current Aussie team now.....

I also thought Australia A beat Australia at least once, and came close on other occasions during the 1994-95 but my cricket reference book (The Australian Cricket Almanac 1996, published by Ironbark) says Australia won all four matches between the two sides.

It's difficult getting scorecards or any other references to these games as they were not officially recognised as one-day internationals.

To my knowledge, the A side has never defeated the main Australian team, definately not in the 94 series with England and Zimbabwe. Do you think Australia should of had a warm up game like New Zealand and South Africa before their one dayers?

There would have been nothing wrong with the main Australian team having a warm up game against the A side. It would have helped them adjust to the one-day form of the game.
