Found a couple threads discussing Australia Day, but not one tailored on the issue of the date change.
Personally, seems logical and beneficial to change the date. It's sad the divisiveness this day creates, providing little opportunity to celebrate our nation as a country. It's not a perfect place, but i bloody love Australia, from the weather, people, open space, nature etc. Its a stunning place.
I do wonder how long it will take the issue to reach the tipping point of critical mass to changing the date. Seems very very close, and i dare say a few more big organisations, sporting bodies, and notable people jumping off 'Australia day' will assist in a date change in the next 2-3 years.
