Oh how I hate slow scoring. There is a difference between placing a value on your wicket and simply not scoring or turning the strike over.

You typically end up going out having made next to no runs. 2.0 runs per over is ridiculous.
Two an over is fine for a tough stretch.

Even bhogle said we should of told them to **** off
No love lost between Bhogle and the BCCI. They fired him as a commentator because a Bollywood star thought he was too critical of the Indian side.
"No one told me what the matter (the reason for his sacking) was," he says. "If someone had said 'You're not good enough', that would've been fine. Some big players have been told that. Suppose I was told I violated a broadcasting ethic, even that would have been fine. But nobody could look me in the face and tell me, 'This is the reason'. Eventually, I said if that's what it is, that's what it is. It's been the biggest learning experience of my career. Offers started coming right away.Everyone thinks doors are shut, which is true... (pause)...but windows are open."

We're batting like nervous nellies.
All the talk since sa has had an impact, we looked like a team that has been under constant attack for over 6 months because we are.

The constant criticism would get to good players but with a group of average batsmen who are Also missing their senior batsmen it's no surprise we look timid.

I would have to disagree that they are the 6 best. There are

100% agree. Neither should finch, particularly at opener. Head gets a few more, give handscomb a run, bring back renshaw, pick the best 4 or 5 in the shield and give him a game. Recycling failed inconsistent players never ever works. Same as Wallabies

disagree? i didnt say they werent the best, just that if they are, and they probably are, its depressing how crap we actually are

Marsh is a proven hack for a start, Finch and Harris opening? lol its a terrible team

Don't get me wrong, our batting has been shit for a long time, but I can't help but feel like this submissive culture we're implementing has something to do with it. I understand the need for cultural change, but surely there's a middle ground.
Very hard to disagree.

Can Maxwell control himself in the longer form of the game? Big if. You can build a case for 2-3 changes to our top order for the next test at this rate.
He's proven he can moreso than Aaron 'I'm hitting this ball into the Torrens' Finch
