Yup lack of intent costing Paine ...showed nothing did not look to score and gets out what a surprise

Game is basically over ...India has bowled okay but the lack of not looking to score and rotate the strike has cost Australia again
Only one who showed intent was finch

But yes it just let's th bowlers bowl to their plans and it's a waiting game. Gotta put pressure back into them even with singles to rotate the strike

We are cooked. Will be lucky to get within 50, Cummins our last hope.
And then they will bat better and our bowlers won't get the assistance they did on the first morning.
And then we bat last against Ashwin.
Hard to believe you could have got $2.40 on India winning at tea.

Tgis is a 4-day test. This was the Aussies best chance for a win too. Indians have bowled better than the Australians, and for all the rage of taking 9 on the first day, 5 were arguably disgraceful shots.

Is it though?

He's basically there just to get his reps in and keep some kind of game touch. He could be averaging 200 and it still wouldn't really mean anything to me
Yeah in my view it is - he's two levels down, Warner is at No.2. I think it presents a number of concerns, technique, motivation, confidence. This is the guy some people think is a "once in a generation player" (Never in my view) He's back in grade and just bog average. That's a real worry I reckon.

He’s easily our best keeping option. Who else do you want keeping?

Might be handy if he’s not coming in at 5 for stuff all every time
Literally anyone. He only looks good when he has to bat for time. Has a nice average since returning but it's padded quite dramatically with 5 NOs.
