The only ones whinging are the ones who've never been.
The same ones would whinge if it was 8/120.
Just enjoy the game, or turn it off.
Fairly hard to enjoy though. We’re not exactly getting outplayed here.. there’s just shit all happening, and fairly unlikely to happen for the rest of the test. It was dead from ball one.. no problem with a batsmen friendly wicket every now and then but at least give a few things for the bowlers.

Which is baffling to me. Why not just prepare a Shield wicket. Boland gets the ball seaming and Tremain swings it. By day 4 Holland has cracks and divots and gets turn.

The pitch actually does something.
The curator must be doing something different for tests, and it’s not working

We were told it was going to be a well grassed pitch early on which would have been something at least make the batsmen have to work for the first two sessions.

Fair to say it's been a pretty pedestrian day of cricket.
  • Engelbert Humperdinck
  • Taylor Swift
Must be the messageboard equivalent of the Mexican wave
Can I be directed to the Taylor Swift conversation, she's something I can get behind and enjoy.

A little bit of cherry picking going on in the commentary box. But I’m disgusted any Aussie fan would boo him.
Media cherry picking is the cause of the booing in my opinion. If they were honest and said "yeah he hasn't lived up to the potential but he's the best allrounder prospect and we're taking a gamble" people would probably get behind him more than when they say "The bloke averaging over 60 recently is a really attractive option with the ball" and berate people without acknowledging his output.

Booing a home player is not on though (unless he runs someone out).
