Ricky Ponting reckoned the 3rd man with this slip cordon is a wasted position? Considering how many billions of runs we've seen conceded through there over the years, I would've thought it was smart to put a guy there. Ricky is knowledgeable and all that, but I disagree with him there.

Saving runs or trying to grab a wicket with the new pill?

That was 25 years ago - so not that short a memory and Zoehrer was 10x the player Healy was (Gilchrist also robbed at the other end of Healys overrated career when healy was allowed to meander on for 20 tests too long).
lol, the West Aussies were booing Gilchrist when he came across. Zoeher had to resort to bowling leggies to get a game. He had an over inflated opinion of himself, aided and abetted by a parochial WA supporter base. His mouth didn't help him either.

As far as Healy robbing Gilchrist. Gilchrist was nothing special with the gloves at the time and hadn't done anything special with NSW with the bat, being batted in the wrong spot.

Indian campaigners in the crowd booing our Hazlewood on our ground.

Wish we had 40k at Calcutta booing the Indians and being obnoxious.
There are 40k every summer at the SCG who are happy to boo anyone not Australian, and be about as obnoxious as the standard pub patron at 1am on a Sunday morning
