Nobody out there is averaging 50, and as for the next 200 gamer, nobody really knows who that is. Pucovski has talent but has played all of 8 first class matches. Renshaw was supposedly the next 200 gamer until he went down the tubes. Let's face it, the options right now are a bunch of guys who either aren't good enough or aren't ready yet.
Pucovski averages 49. I rounded up 1.
Don't think anyboidy thought Renshaw was a 200 gamer, they thought he was very very talented. As do l, l still reckon he will be an Aussie great by the end of his career as l said before he debuted.

Doesn't matter how young you are as long as you are good enough. Tell me this, who would you rather: Pucovski or Head/Labushagne?

Was definitely freed up, performed much better behind Warner and Smith with runs on the board
I agree. But it's like the supporters who say the bowling is rubbish when we can't take wickets defending 200 in a one dayer... The batsmen take zero risks and will walk that it.

This is just showing while the Indian bowling was good it wasn't the problem and Shami claiming they're the best attack in the world off the back of it is a good laugh. We're just rubbish.
When did this happen?

It was Paine who repeatedly kept saying that after the series. Most Indian fans, while being very happy about having a good fast bowling attack for once, are nonetheless cautious and haven't seen many calling ours as the best in the world. South Africa is still the best in the business.

Probably Head, who's still reasonably young and has at least been able to post some decent scores. I'm not big on picking a guy who has had mental health issues and would face the added pressure of being the next great thing in Aussie cricket at a time when the batting lineup is performing woefully. I also don't put a huge amount of weight on Pucovski's FC average from just 8 matches, some of which have been at the MCG which has mostly played as a road for the past 18 months. Long term, I like him plenty, but wouldn't bring him in until Smith and Warner gave some stability to the lineup.

Marcus Lasagna is a crab, though.
