Been good this pair. The collapse was absolutely on, but they've steadied, accumulated and avoided doing too much dumb stuff. A distinct improvement over the 5-120-odd that we've more typically seen this Summer.

Reckon this game vs the India test series is a good example of the difference between average and top tier attacks.

India were relentless over every test and never really let up.

SL started well then have drifted and given plenty of loose balls as the session went on.

Honestly, i dont think enough credit's been given to India's bowling where it was probably one of the best and well rounded attacks to come to Aus. Was SA's pace attack better? Yes, but their spinners are always dogshit. There was nowhere to hide against India's bowling

Who's making their runs?

They have 1 batsman in their top 7 that average over 40. They have 2 inside that top 7 that average in the mid 20's....

I mean, with Warner and Smith back they have a worse batting lineup than us and we have a much better bowling attack....
Our bowling attack has become one dimensional. Smith and Warner won’t make a difference on the end result

Left of field suggestion. Any chance we can use a Duke ball for the 2nd test. While the bowlers arent in the same league as English in English conditions, back to back tests where the ball moves a fair bit would be some good experience I'd imagine...
