Problem is he wont get picked. They'll pick Hazlewood, Cummins and Pie Chucker.
I dont know about that. If Richo continues to pick up wickets in the next 3 SL innings then I reckon Hazelwood may find it tough to get back in. He has been fairly ordinary this summer. Though if there is one thing I have learned it is that selection on form and merit isn't a concept our selectors are familiar with.

Labushagne has played well. Put a high price on his wicket. I reckon he has decided he wants to be Australia's Pujara.

Head should have been caught which would have been another start and getting out. Very lucky, however Head is the epitome of Aussies's batting stocks atm

I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Hazlewood really should be an amazing bowler in England, suits him to a tee. Last time he toured there he tried to be a swing bowler which isn't his style. If he just bowls a 4th line with a little nibble like he normally does when in form he will do really well.

Players that bowl well in England tend to be the medium fast bowlers (around the 130-140kms) who can swing it or seam it. Starc should normally do pretty good but he leaks too many runs and is nowhere near as consistent at the start of an innings as he should be. I would be tempted to swap Starc for Richardson if Starc doesn't get his form back

They're ranked higher in the test rankings and have recently beaten Pakistan in the UAE, something we've failed to do since 2002. If NZ are ever going to win another series against Australia, they currently have a huge opportunity to do so with their golden generation.
Golden generation? That's cute.

Our bowling attack has become one dimensional. Smith and Warner won’t make a difference on the end result
Cummins took 44 wickets @ 19 last year despite playing away series in India, UAE and Bangladesh in that year.

Lyon has taken 116 wickets in the last 2 years.

I think Starc and Hazlewood are definitely way to comfortable, but Lyon and Cummins are two of the best bowlers in the world at the moment.

If Head goes on with it nobody will care. This is good from both of them so far, they've steered us out of a sticky situation.

3 catches, 52*, had a pretty good game so far. we can say he's only playing sri lanka, but a couple of other bats have already disappeared cheaply.
lyon blew the best chance for a test century he'll ever get.

Saving himself for his Ashes Ashton Agar performance

Harris didn't play any Big Bash before playing Tests this summer. In fact he played a Shield game only a few weeks before the 1st Test against India
He played 2-3 BBL matches in between test series.

He's clearly got the ability for test cricket. However, it's on him to get himself switched on mentally to convert these starts in to big scores.

Cummins and Lyon pick themselves.

Hazelwood hits the pitch at a great length and hits the seam.

Starc’s line is all over the place.

If Richardson can maintain his discipline Starc is in trouble.

These guys are in again now and playing well.

Absolutely, they were our best two against India by a mile too.

While I dont think he should have been in the team in the first place its easy to see why the selectors rate him. Has all the shots, seems to have solidish defense. Has too many lapses in concentration (cough Harris cough) at the moment but hopefully he can start to put it together over the next few years.
