The only embarrassing thing is the fact they were expecting to get more than what they did.

They started the game on a Thursday afternoon on a work day in mid 30 degree heat against a low profile opponent. All of this after the debacle that was the Indian series and how it ended and having BBL oversaturate the cricketing landscape this year more than any other year. People are over it and ready for footy season. They should be happy that even 13,000 turned up despite everything. Just because it’s a day night match doesn’t mean double the number of people will magically turn up if you ignore the other reasons for low attendances.

Had they started this game on Australia Day different story. In fact CA missed an opportunity there and I don’t know why they didn’t. Long weekend and the game most likely going to be over early day 4 means they remove any excuse for people not turning up. At worst game should have started today. But let me guess, couldn’t have this Test take over the prime weekend time slots over the Big Bash couldn’t we? What happens when this Test is being played whilst the Stars are playing the Heat on Sunday night? BBL has been an absolute cancer for scheduling this summer.

Fmd it's results like that, that make me doubt ball tracking. No way it was missing by that much.

If that was us bowling against India this place would be going off. Not saying it was going to hit but was a hell of alot closer than that.

Obviously the Gabba needs a freshen up and a bit of a facelift but I’m actually interested in having an educated discussion in regards to exactly what it is facilities wise that needs refurbished to bring it up to the modern day standard. I do know that public transport is a joke out there and the new station they are building out there should fix that which is a huge start.

Having been to the SCG recently for the first time, I think it is highly over exaggerated how far advanced a ground like that is over the Gabba. Besides the historic clock tower and a bit of architecture in the stands and fresh paint and brighter seats, wasn’t that much different to the Gabba to be honest. Can’t comment on the players facilities though.

You seem awfully sensitive about me questioning you and your other account on here. Apologies if I hit a nerve.
Not sensitive just I don't see moderator next to your name yet you seem to want to police the board. Bit sad mate. So you didn't answer my question. Is it ok with you if I support Australia even though I technically could support Scotland too. Would that be ok mate? Oh and could other people support other countries too? Is that too much to ask?

lol there's absolutely no way whatsoever that ball was any chance of hitting the stumps, watch it again properly.

He may have been a chucker but I wish Murali was still out there to create some interest instead of the trundlers Sri Lanka are currently wheeling out.

Sri Lanka's pace bowling stocks have never been great so they need a good spin bowler or two to make up for it and provide a contest.

My first thought watching it live was “he is a long way forward, it spun enough, it’s going way down leg” then “wtf why would you review that”.
