I would say batting from that position takes more than luck, a lot more.

Yeah also this isn't SL's best team either. So it is not as one sided on paper as people think it is.
They are all highly talented to be at the level, to get away with the amount of risky shots is luck pure and simple

Especially if we are playing Henriques, Paine, etc who are BBL captains
Gee quicky forget Moises ,wonderboy, the critical 19 over had 22 runs taken from 3 sixes and ` 1
HE LET THEM BACK IN THE GAME AND MOMENTING
Same as fri whe he let a ball goo for 4 instead of 2

Moises shouldn't be taking the flack, he helped get us in the game with his score in the first place. Shouldn't have been bowling then though

Really? As a player, who else do we have that isn't in India would you pick over Finch?
Inanimate Carbon Rod Mk2 (Since Mk1 is playing in India instead of MMarsh)

Lost it at the selection table Zampa should have played instead of Tye, our 20th over of batting hurt, Turner should have been given at least another over in the middle order and neither Henriques or Tye should have been bowling the last 2 overs.

Henriques - papers stamped.. oh wait that won't happen.

And why should it? He's probably the only all-rounder we've tried in recent times who earnt his selection with domestic performances, and he performed well with the bat. One bad over at the death in a T20 on an oval with 50m boundaries shouldn't spell the end for him at all.

This is why t20 will always be for the lols and not a serious competition, you don't recover from 5/50 and win any real cricket game but in this stuff all it takes is for 1 guy to get lucky.

T20 is serious business, they have a T20 world cup after all. Another trophy Australia won't be winning any time soon, poor T20 cricketers.

Tye is a specialist death bowler and usually pretty good.

But Henriques let them get close and Tye bowled his worst over imaginable.

You mean where he bowled like 5 overs for the tournament? and hit one good score? Oh yeah, what form.

They're also not exactly at full strength themselves

Does the nation actually particularly care?
No. Not really.
My only care factor in this game was to see the new stand progress and hope the crowd was good (not helped by the arctic weather today, truly cold wind chill) to try and get a BBL franchise and the subsequent Stage 5 funding.
