The Mooney and Perry wickets seem poor shoot selection from two experienced players, especially Perry who had been looking solid

Don't understand the want to keep going aerial when along the ground works just as well

Especially when the outfield seems surprisingly fast given the rain.

Hoping Ash goes big here, she may not be captain material in CA's eyes but shes arguably their best player.

Has Perry indicated a finish date?.. Sutherland is there best batsmen should be in top 4 in all formats.

With Wareham coming in at 6, I assumed Sutherland wasn't playing - I would have had Sutherland & Carey ahead of Wareham, and coin toss depending on match situation as to Sutherland or Gardner

I know some (not necessarily on here) questioned why wasn't Litchfield appointed as the long term captain - that shot there is a good example of why

We're 4 down after 9 innings and have just lost Gardner the over before - we needed to consolidate somewhat where we look to put the bad balls away and respect good bowling

That was an absolute nothing shot from Litchfield and gift of a wicket

3, maybe 4 absolute gifts out of the 5 wickets so far. Braindead shot selection.

Looks like we're looking at Sutherland as being a potential finisher or lower order hitter - is that her best role or when we get the best out of her, compared with allowing her to build an innings?
Interesting batting order this match in general - can't say I see Sudds as a finisher, but I don't see any of our lineup as finishers, so maybe testing the waters?

Do you think the changes are Soph coming in or just a shakeup from the selectors/coaches as a result of Heals leaving?

This move feels like what we did with McGrath where she started coming in later and later, and I remember asking last year, "what is McGrath's role in this team?", as she barely bowls and would come down the batting order

If we're doing that with Sutherland I can see it getting confusing for her, unless we're going to be using her up the order in ODIs and Test matches, so it's a conservation option in T20s and not trying to push her too hard to carry too much of the load

In terms of options in that finisher type role, watching Perry tonight and her approach in recent T20s for Aus, I wonder if she could drop down the order should she keep looking to go big from ball 1

Wareham is another who during the WBBL has shown she's capable of going big late in the innings - I know we had her coming in at 5/6 for the Gades and that was more often than not also too early in the innings this past season with how we lost early wickets. But maybe she's the sort of player who we could look at coming in between the 12th & 15th overs, rather than the 8th

Every single batter has looked completely comfortable then plays an absolute dogshit shot.
So annoying

We had had a good over until then, you've been given a life and surely it's head down, refocus and get out of the over

And then Carey gives it away to start the next over

Every time we've looked like a partnership forming and lost a wicket, we've then lost one the next over

Mooney - 2.4
Voll - 3.2

Perry - 7.2
Gardner - 8.4
Litchfield - 9.1

Wareham - 13.5
Carey - 14.2

🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I like the Pez call - good way to utilise her in the twilight of her career
