Match delayed by rain

Probable Australia team:

Healy, Haynes, Lanning, Mooney, McGrath, Gardner
Sutherland, Jonassen, King, Schutt, Brown

If the rain delay reduces the match to a much shorter game (eg. 30 overs or fewer), then the match more closely resembles a T20 fixture rather than an ODI. In which case, bowling depth becomes less important, because the maximum number of overs for each bowler reduces. In that situation, a stronger argument can be made for Grace Harris to be selected at number 7, and to leave Sutherland out. However this is just daydreaming - it's unlikely the selectors would pick Harris for her first match in a knockout semi-final.

Doesn't batting depth also become less important though? As the number of balls each batter is likely to face reduces.

You are correct that the number of balls each batter is likely to face reduces, however, unlike with bowlers, there is no maximum imposed by the rules.
So in a T20, a team could lose 5 wickets in the first 5 overs, and the number 7 batter could still face (15*6 / 2 =) 45 balls or more, whereas all bowlers are limited to 24 deliveries.

With a reserve day in place for the semi-finals - is it better for a reduced over match or call the day off & come back on the reserve day & hope for better weather?

What if it rains?

Fortunately, there are reserve days for both semi-finals and the final, so England hopefully need not fear a repeat of their 2020 T20 World Cup semi-final exit. If, however, a match cannot be completed on the reserve day, the top-ranked qualifier (Australia or South Africa) will progress.

The rules of this ICC tournament require 20 overs per side for a completed match.

And that looks like an ACL, horrible luck

Thought it looked more like a hamstring as per the commentators - grabbed the back of her leg, rather than her knee and you could see her pull up prior to collapsing on the ground

Hope you are correct, hamstring is better than a knee. Hate seeing injuries.

0/153 after 26.5 overs, so with 18.1 overs remaining, Australia's batters can treat the batting innings as if it's a T20 match now.
Australia is well on track to score at least 270, which is 6 an over.

They’ll be aiming way more than that! 10 an over from here

Same - doesn't matter the team or the sport, injuries are never good

I can not like a player but I’d still hate seeing that player injured as they work so hard
