the game is australian cricket captain and its based on the 98/99 season and you keep playing after that year but ill just post 1 season of it.

i havent done this before so i dont know how quickly/often ill be able to post also i dont know how easy it will be to transfer the results and all that

im going to play as victoria and the squad is:

the first game is a shield match against tasmania at home and elliott and fleming are away on national duties (i dont know why warne wouldnt be)
 
a few other things

its a management style game so i dont actually play the game. i control the aggressive-ness of the batting and bowling and the line of the bowlers. i can change the field but that takes too long

the conditions change through out the game and get worse as the game goes on, not always at the same level. the pitch goes from good to average to turning to sharp turn, the bounce goes from true to good to average to erratic. the outfield goes from fast to medium to slow and the over head conditions go from clear to unsetlled to cloudy to rain delay (also random length)

it never rains during a one day game only in tests/4-day games
 
i dont know how the layout will go but we will wait and see

so a draw and 0 points from round 1. at 3 for 299 and needing 60 runs in the last 45mins (10-12 overs) it was looking like an unlikely win but losing 3 for 10 cost us a chance at a win. i was then needing 51 in the last half hour so i decided to just bat out the draw

the next game is a one dayer against sth aussie at home and ill post that and i think that will do for today
 
also i lost the toss and tassie batted in the previous game

again lost the toss and sth batted in this game. unchanged line up, warne was captain last game and is still captain this game

just let me know if i forget anything, also i cant see what the strike rates are after the game, only during so sorry i cant post those figures.

we were 5 for 137 with 20 overs to go and looking a bit dicey but hodge got his 81 off about 60 balls, i didnt even have his aggression very high.

the battin/bowling also depends on a players 'strengths' (front foot/back foot, on side/off side, fast/spin bowling) and players form rates from 0-100 and their fitness is also scored out of 100. if a players fitness drops below 80 it usually means they are injured (injuries also a random) and if a players health is between 80-88 they have a very high risk of getting injured during the game and the injury type and length is also very random.

if a players form is under 20 thats usually when their performances are bad but really unless its about 80 or higher they can pretty much score anything. when its 80 or higher usually they make big scores. its a fairly realistic game.

the next game is a shield game against nsw who at this time of the year are missing a lot of players on national duties (taylor, slater, waughs, bevan, mcgrath) tassie were only missing colin miller in the first game and sth aussie were missing lehmann and gillespie
 
yeh i got it as a present like 9-10 years ago. i think you can download torrents for it but yeh i doubt you could buy it anywhere

most torrents i have seen are for 'international cricket captain' where you pick a county side and play as them
 
kept the same side, inness could be cut soon for williams or shepard if he doesnt lift. won the toss and batted

batted until about half way through the last session of day 3. i had about 12 overs at them for no wickets. could have declared earlier but harvey was on about 70 and hodge 90. so between 4.30 and 5 i had harvey agressive to get his last 30 quickly.

pitch went to s**t on the last day but wasnt a good enough batting display. after 6 games we are on 20 pts equal with nsw who have also played 6 games. qld are on top with 24 pts from 5 games. clark has broken his finger and is out for 7 days, inness has another 7 days to go. elliott and warne are playing for australia and the next game is against tassie in tassie. robertson is out for klinger

only needed 40-50 off the last 15 so took the foot off a bit and it got down to the 2nd last over. we were 2/77 off about 14-15 overs and then hodge and harper took over. next is another one dayer against qld. currently 3 and 1 in the one dayers and sitting 3rd. finals is top 4 play off for a spot in the final.

at 7 for 100 looked no chance. needed 4-4.5 an over at that stage. needed 5 an over when berry went out. then needed 6 off the last over with 2 wickets in hand. rieffel out first ball of the last over. saker went 0 0 1, williams hit a 4 and then a 0. scores tied. have one more one dayer against tassie away but the next game is a shield game away and sth aussie.
