I'm happy to use whatever. I still favour the default stats, but I completely understand if RL is more popular

default stats take the fun out of it. What are they anyway?

Batsmen 45/99
Keepers 40/99
Bat AR 40/40
Pure AR 35/35
Bowl AR 30/30
Bowlers 15/25

or something like that? And with all of those you'd have to ask who are batting/bowling/pure A/R's so real life works better

Could everyone prepare their lineups, with each players real life stats beside the name? I don't want anymore holdups

Eg,

1. Warner - LHB (49)
2. Finch - RHB (30)
3. Marsh - LHB (36)
...
7. O'Keefe - RHB (32) LAS (28)

If they have played test cricket, then the coach has the option of picking either test stats or their first class stats. I strongly urge you all to record stats as they are and not enlarge them, as I don't want to be searching every player on every team to ensure no one is trying to get a leg up.

And of course, permission to round up >.5

Also: I propose a peace settlement. We (the players) give you the stats for each player we have. For me:

Townsend LHB (30/99)
Pomersbach LHB (40/99)
Burns RHB (41/99)
Handscomb RHB (32/99)
White RHB/LS (40/41)
Hopes RHB/RFM (32/27)
Hartley LHB (+) (32/99)
Faulkner RHB/LFM (27/22)
Hastings RHB/RFM (25/25)
Coulter-Nile RHB/RF (18/27)
Lyon RHB/OS (14/32)

Everyone gets one home game, and decides what type of pitch* the game will be played on. If you have any problems with this fixture, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

*There are three types
1. Excellent - Favours the batsmen
2. Normal - Even contest between bat and ball
3. Poor - Favours the bowlers

1. Chris Rogers (50/99)
2. Mark Cosgrove (44/42)
3. Tom Cooper (32/66)
4. Michael Clarke (53/36)
5. Ben Rohrer (40/23) - makes for a strong 5th bowler  - this is his FC average.
6. Chris Lynn (36/99)
7. Brad Haddin (+) (39/99)
8. Luke Butterworth (27/23)
9. Ryan Harris (18/23)

How about we have a maximum of 5-6 bowling options. I guess it's down to our own judgement really, but if they only bat then don't list there bowling average they got from bowling a few overs that one time or whatever...

Anymore than 6 your front line bowlers will get severely underbowled...

I would say Cosgrove, Cooper and Rohrers bowling average is irrelevant

Cosgrove bowls a bit. And also, the unfairness with Rohrer's average is mitigated by other unfair things in this system e.g. a spinner who would make the Australian team is worse than all Australian pacemen selected

I'd cap the bowling options to 5, and put it down to judgement who gets to bowl. Like nothing outrageous, 40/23 split you have a superstar. So yeah, down to your discretion but don't be silly
