Australian Indigenous team

I'm a big fan of Aboriginal players and I was thinking about what players would be in the side if they were an All-Aboriginal team. I compiled this list from current Aboriginal players in the AFL, not taking into account fitness or injury. I also included Gary Dhurrkay since he did play this season, even though he has since retired (same goes for Chris Lewis).

MY 2000 ALL-ABORIGINAL SIDE

HB: Pickett McLeod Wanganeen

HF: Rioli O'Loughlin Abraham
FF: Ahmat Farmer Burns

Coach: Kevin Sheedy

The team is a very good side on paper, though it is possibly a bit light on defence. Adam Goodes would probably be the first choice fullback given his height and athleticism despite this not being a too familiar position for him.
This side would give all sides in the AFL a decent run for their money.

There are a few other players which probably could be in the side but I went for the more experienced players, not so much the young up-and-comers who have only played 1 or 2 seasons.

Definitely lacking on height though.

Did you forget Darryl White? He could play a key position and has played a lot of footy in the ruck especially in his early years.

I forgot Darryl White, I knew I'd at least forget 1 guy who should be in the side. Yeah, the main problem in the side would definately be the height factor.

You can drop Dhurrkay and slip in Daniel Motlop instead. He's the younger brother of Shannon and the word from Arden Street is that expect him to play senior footy in 2001.

I read in today's Australian that 10% of the footballers on the AFL lists are of Aboriginal descent.

If you want to add height, elevated Koops from the emergencies.

yeah, Michael McLean would be a good choice for the coach.
Phil Matera would be a player I'd also put in, I forgot him too, Peter would probably be an emergency or on interchange too.
There's a few players who I left out who could make the side such as Leon Davis and Mark West.

I have a dream, that one day Smith will not be forced to play CHB on Robran in preliminary finals (BTW- Libba would be playing on McLeod at CHF against this indigenous team
