im getting really stuck into woods this week to Pay for christmas. how he can be $2.60 in this field is beyond me. it's a big price. if it wasn't for his front 9 i think he would have gone on to win and when he found his swing on the 9th tee he started to make birdies.(at the HSCB tournament last week) he tried to force the issue too much after that and thats why he made a bogey. he has started a major at the price ffs.(where the field is far stronger) this is a poor field where Ogilvy is the 2nd fav and only 14th in the world then you have to go back to 29th in the world to find Allenby. No Micko,Stricker,Pod Westwood,Garcia etc. $2.60 for me is huge

I'm going to back Steven Bowditch e/w and for 1st rd lead. He's a bit hit and miss but he just won the Qld open by 6 shots.

I disagree. Made a packet on it this year inc Glover in the US Open and Cink in the British (both 150-1+).

I'd say that's tremendous value, considering he normally starts shorter than that in the majors.

Not too keen to tip into Tiger at the $2.50 on a course he has seen for 1.5 days and 27 holes. The field might look weak but remember how the whole US team battled in 1998 at RM when the conditions were firm and fast and the Northerly blew hard.

There are a lot of Aussies who are pretty dab hands in these conditions having grown up in them.

In any case the better value as always is in the tournament head to head markets. Lot of good value there especially around Baddeley who is reportedly hitting it everywhere.

Also be careful backing Leishman - he was ordinary last Aussie summer and finished the US season with a couple of stinker results. Great player - just not sure about him this week.

Now tied for first after 11 holes! The main danger is Branden Grace who dominated the front 9 going 4 under. He has yet to start the back 9.

Nitties is a known choker hopefully the nerves don't get to him in the first round!!!

Going to be a struggle now. CAMERON PERCY has just birdied his last 4 holes to go to 6 under with 3 holes to play. BRANDEN GRACE is on fire after getting off to an interesting start. Birdied his first hole then bogied the next. He has birdied 5 of his last 6 holes and sits on 5 under.

And there is also the afternoon tee off to go also.

Going to be a struggle now. CAMERON PERCY has just birdied his last 4 holes to go to 6 under with 3 holes to play.

Cam had a good solid year on the Nationwide, his ball striking has always been A grade but let down by his putting.

This year he has knocked a shot a round of his putting, if this holds up (and he can avoid the bunkers) he will be right there on Sunday.

Theres limited liquidity in that Betfair market so you'd have to offer a decent price to grab the attention.
Currently backable at $2.74,put up $3 for $96 & lock in a $72 profit if someone falls into the net...after the 5%

Cheers Seth- as you mentioned there is limited liquidity in that market. Is this due to it being in-play and the reluctance of people to use the phone do you think or is there just no value in this market in general. I note that hardly any has been matched today.
