Since Graham made his way to the NFL, i have read all of one article (in the herald sun's "world sports" collumn, which actually knew what position Graham played. For thew past two weeks especially, every form of media has been calling him a kicker. I understand that this sport is a novelty, but surely they could get this right? it isnt that difficult is it? He is a PUNTER!!! surely these guys who study for yrs in journalism and sports journalism could actually write an article?

This pre game coverage on 10 is making me feel sick. Dave Hughes, who apparently has been watching the NFL since the 80s, knows bugger all about the sport. And all they can talk about is Ben Graham.

Here Channel 10 has the opportunity to at least utilise Ed White or whatever his name is and his knowledge of the sport to explain set- up's and positional play, and who some of the key players are, and all they can focus on Sav breakin down Ben Graham's punting, which my disabled sister could work out for herself. It is terrible. Oh and Andrew Maher happens to be a Patriots fan, what a surprise, f*cking bandwagoner, clearly knows nothing about the game. Anyone else here him call Anquain Boldin, Anikin Boldwin before the game?

Graham is a punter ffs who gives a shit about him.. I couldnt believe I saw a quote from Kurt Warner in the paper saying that 'Ben had been good for Arizona'... I doubted Kurt would even no Bens name haha.. but I spose he would because as the aussie media tell us Ben is one of the best players in the nfl

Dont worry ESPN sportcenter was comparing Ben directly to Polomalu.
They where terrible covering the Tennis. apparently Nadal is leading 5-0 in grand slam finals.
And they had a 3minute report at the end of sportscenter saying that this super bowl will have the most hair.

I should of waited the half an hour delay just to watch 10HD

I thought these dumbasses were just going to handle the pre-game, then hand it over to the Americans. But it keeps switching back to them and their random comments about punting. They're not explaining the game any better than what Madden does, and Madden is a raving derelict.

i dont mind channel 10's coverage actually

its an american sport, it really has nothing to do with us, very few of us fathom little interest, we should be grateful it is on tv at all

Get out of the past mate, in these days of pay TV and the internet all sport has become more global. If it's so irrelevant then why was it on the anti-siphoning list??

Would have rathered that they just did what they usually do and play the game, no crossing back and forth to an Aussie studio.

Just take the overseas feed and stick with it (including their own broadcasters analysis of the game), not that hard.

Serously, what sort of coverage were you expecting to get when Andrew Maher is involved?
That was what I was thinking. Typical Channel 10.

I felt sorry for Sav - he probably wished he stayed in Philly. And yeah, I felt sorry for Ed Wyatt. Someone needs to tell 10 Dave Hughes aint funny and should never be involved in anything.

In saying that, 10 have been pretty good with sticking with the US feed (even playing some of thier ads by accident).

At least they are showing it on FTA.

Can't say I watched it or ever bother with the Australia sports media (especially when it comes to American football).

For some reason Australian TV executives think you need to dumb down sports for it to appeal to people. We bitch and moan here about ESPN but frankly they are light years ahead of what's served up on Australian TV.

There's plenty of NFL on the net - follow it there.

I preferred SBS coverage of the SB to 10's this year, why didn't they stick with the same thing they've done all season and basically take the whole feed from the NBC/CBS. I don't understand why the feed wasn't live however, for the whole year I've had to watch games on delay (except for the weeks when I was on holiday), is it just Adelaide or does the rest of the country get the delay too. Saying that, having games on free-to-air has been good this year, can't wait to see if 10's 24 hour sports channel will show more. Punters are great, they basically command all the attention in the game and can change the game much like a QB ;). Madden and Al Michael are the two best commentators, I really didn't listen to the dribble between Maher, Wyatt, Sav and Dave Hughes (I don't understand why he would be on there).

It was good when Colin Scott used to be on it on SBS (i think)... he explained the game and got a word in... he also was an "actual" Australian NFL player with a real position... not just a punter

I concur with this, having someone talk about the game itself would have been useful. I believe they had Sav last year as well, talking about his experience in the NFL game but not on the actual subject of punting. Maybe they should get Scott back in this somehow. Better yet, Ten should pay some BF posters and mods who actually have a feel for the game, that would be quite useful (and fun).

Why in the hell was Dave Hughes there? Huge NFL fan my ass.

Felt sorry for Ed Wyatt, was made to look a bit stupid there really, not much he can do when the other 3 have no bloody clue and would talk about afl.

Ed and Steve should of hosted this.

It was just annoying whenever the telecast came to them. I had to mute it a few times. Dave freaking HUghes? I actually said "What the ****" out load when i saw him.

I guess they dumb it down for people who don;t normally watch but for actual fans who follow it through the year, you feel like you are being spoken to like an idiot.

Next year we should petition Channel 10 to get the BigFooty NFL regulars on there!! Would provide alot more insightful commentary than listening to Dave Hughes and Andrew Maher.

As for the guy dissing Ed Wyatt...dude knows his football mate. It's just that he was stuck with a couple of blokes who really don't have much of a clue.

Look, it was a great achievement having an Aussie in the Superbowl but jeez the media has been making him out to be some sort of impact player. He's a punter FFS.

Now the Oz media can go back to blissful ignorance of the NFL for another 12 months. If they wanna cover the sport they need to get people in there who actually follow the game all season round, not just for the damn Superbowl.

take out that last punt of his. wouldnt of been in the position for a safety. would not of gotten it, and It most likely would of been a 20-14 final score. He got Arizona's momentum going after Warner failed
