I hate how Molik And Woodbridge feel the need to talk in depth after every single point. If you don't have anything good to say, keep your yap shut.

I also hate how Austin keeps telling us how the players will be feeling at that particular moment. As if she would know.

What does 7/FoxSports have against Monfils? I want to watch a damn game of his for once.

100 bucks on 7/Foxsports not showing Tsonga as well.

Monfils had the last set shown before the news/4pm in WA...

Ljubicic vs Tsonga had a bit shown after the Murray game.

Fact of the matter is, intelligent viewers of the tennis (i.e being able to tell the difference between Gooch's and Fed's groundstrokes) make up a tiny minority.

Quality doesnt matter

What about that Chris Dittmar guy? Please do not let him interview the players..

Oh my...

The bus crash that was the Suarez Navarro interview was just horrible. She's got her hand in the cookie jar and can't believe her luck and was probably trying to comprehend the significance of what she's just done. She also speaks ever so slightly more English than Dittmar does Spanish, so what does he do?

When common sense overtakes commercial (I don't mean ads) obligation we'll all be in a better place.

how odd is it to see chris dittmar go and interview the players after the games?

he has a face for radio i can tell you that! but thankfully he has a deep godlike voice to listen to, kinda like craig willis

lookswise he does remind me of someone who might coach the australian swim team or be involved with the australian olympic movement, a bit of john coates about him

^That's what I was thinking.

I would probably feel initially reluctant to do such an interview if it was the French Open, but I would give it a go anyway. So long as you come off as a well-meaning person, the crowd will generally be receptive.

I would've thought most people have the same feeling, but perhaps she has had little media training.

I love watching the interviews of the lesser known players who speak little English. It's good to see them giving it a go, coupled with their joy in winning.

Yep. A little more empathy required in the situation methinks. I am sure she would have been in complete shock at what she'd just done...as we all were! From 5-2 down in the third, she totally outplayed Venus and was seeing the ball like a football!

channel 7s sports coverage is a real worry, its like someone with no interest in sport runs the show, olympics, tennis, schwartz, oleranshaw, baffling

That's a new low in cross promotion. Seven had their logo and "city homocide" motifs printed on tennis balls and got two ball kids to hold them up to the camera.

The cross promotion we have to endure during the tennis from 7 is absolutely terrible. Something like this was uttered earlier "We're packed to the rafters here tonight.....what a good show that is"

Disgraceful coverage, as usual from 7. Too many ads, awful commentators, endless worthless super slow mo replays, and the flogging of their crappy shows is unbearable.

7's coverage of tennis is worse than their footy work, and their Olympics effort, and that's saying something.
