Can't help but feel that whoever did the schedule, did Tomljanovic no favours. Her first time playing in front of an Aussie crowd under the Aussie flag and they stick her on the big court in the death slot after Hewitt. Reckon she would have benefitted from playing on a show court a little earlier with a decent crowd behind her.

I think they are reluctant to put a top woman's match with a high profile player on after the men's. Lets face it, there is no way Williams would agree to sit around to potentially midnight to wipe the court with someone this early on in the tournament.
