Off topic, do you like the Melbourne logo you have? I think it's better than the last but basically a cricket logo blended with a private school boys blazer badge.

Well done Fed.
I think its the best we've had since the Demon head in the early 00s. Don't think its brilliant, but it should never date and that alone is a relief.

Lets not forget Safins entourage

Meanwhile, back in 2008 Tsonga just won the first.

I forgot how good he was in this. He was just ridiculous.
Tsonga was in 'god' mode the night he beat Nadal. Even his first set performance in the final against Djokovic was extraordinary.

Tsonga also beat some great players along the way including Andy Murray, Richard Gasquet and Mikhail Youzhny who was in red-hot form at the time.

His drop shot half volleys were almost mythical in nature.

He just could not miss. Anything. The entire match.

Unreal.

The greatest match I've seen at the Australian Open! Just epic tennis from both players.

The only one that comes close is Novak/Wawrinka (the first time). Incredible.

Nadal/Verdasco 09 maybe as well.

Two fantastic matches as well.

I'd also include Roddick and El Aynaoui in 2003 as well! An extraordinary match not only for longevity and scoreline but for some of the unreal skills that were on show that night from both players.

I like Tsonga but he will never win even one Grand Slam the way he his going.
Tsonga is my favourite player on the mens side of the draw but I agree I think that opportunity has passed him by.

If the stars align miraculously, it's still a remote possibility but I'm struggling to see him breaking through sadly.

I feel old knowing that it's been 13 years.
Seems like it was yesterday...

Federer is arrogant. Although he is 3 in the world, the reality is Djokovic is so far above him its not funny, and he should shut up. He hasnt done anything of real note for coming up 4 years. Dont see Djokovic big noting himself.
Federer is the GOAT think he has earned the right to big note himself.
