The changing of the guard will have to wait, probably until at least Wimbledon or the US Open this year, if not longer.

(2004-2019) 3+ consecutive grand slam tournaments won by the BIG 3:
18 - 2005 FR to 2009 TCW [RF 11, RN 6, ND 1]
11 - 2010 AU to 2012 TCW [RN 5, ND 4, RF 2]
9* - 2017 AU to 2019 AU [RN 3 (possibly 4), RF 3, ND 2]
4 - 2015 TCW to 2015 FR [ND 4]

(2004-2019) 2+ consecutive grand slam tournaments NOT won by the BIG 3:

When you watch this match you will realise the gap these two have over everyone else, even fed is starting to trail behind now. If they both are in semi final form this will go 5 sets and 4 hours plus. Got a feeling Nadal will win as he hasn't been pushed all tournament and has plenty left in the tank, he could go all night if he has to. Also think his absolute best is slightly better.

They have been the 'Big 3' for so long that it's easy to forget that Fed is 5 years older than both of them. Just shows how impressive his longevity is. How many other players are in the top 10 at 37? I can't think of any.

It would seem that only Wimbledon this year could elude the Big 2. Like Serena, Roger is on borrowed time.
